……………………………………………………………………. After a good run of classic salsa, it’s time to look at the present. The current salsa scene is putting out incredible work, and today I’m highlighting some of the bands that are absolutely killing it. I had to squeeze as many LPs as I could into this post because the list was way too long, but every single one is worth a spin from start to finish. . . . . . . . . . . #salsa #salsamoderna #latinmusic #latino #vinylcollection by @necarsvinyl

……………………………………………………………. When Afro-Cuban jazz met funk and electronics! In the mid-70s, Irakere revolutionized Latin music by breaking all the rules. Directed by Chucho Valdés and featuring virtuosos like Arturo Sandoval and Paquito D’Rivera, they fused Afro-Cuban traditions with powerful horns, synths, and basslines that still blow minds today. ………………………………………………………………… Today, punk gets a little quieter. Cheetah Chrome, the legendary guitarist whose raw, aggressive riffs defined the visceral sound of the Dead Boys, is gone. Young, Loud and Snotty (1977) isn’t just an album; it’s a pure explosion of attitude, chaos, and distortion that changed punk rock forever. Almost 50 years after its release, today we celebrate his legacy by cranking it up to full volume. . . . . . . . . . . #deadboys #youngloudandsnotty #punkrock #cheetahchrome #vinylcollection by @necarsvinyl
