like a ship in a storm

Or

On a starry night
tilted your head back
and laughed at the stars
taunting you to reach them
again

Just feel
Open yourself
if you dare

Stop pretending
not to know it’s there

All of it

The pain
The guilt
The blame

You don’t go through
life without picking up
some of that stuff

But no amount of
well meaning mea culpas

Will ever destroy the fact
that you are an unquenchable
flame

Dim if you must

Fitting in to survive
is sometimes
a useful skill

But make it a temporary
camouflage okay?

Because you’re not
here to hide or abide

by the rules
someone
else made up
for their
benefit

You are a creator
and a good one at that

So stop pretending
not to know.

And just go ahead
and love yourself
because it’s the only

way you can
love anyone
else.

As I Speak With My Heart – by Maria Kitsios

As I speak with my heart,
I tell no lies.
I’m a seeker of Truth
and thus, I will rise!
Growth is uncomfortable-
it hurts, and it pains,
but unless you go through it
only the old you remains.
I find strength
in the here and the Now.
If ever I feel weak,
in prayer I bow.
I trust in the most High
to guide me through,
and I rise from my ashes,
born anew.
As I’m leaving behind
attachments I’ve held,
I know pain is an indicator
of the depth which I felt.
To move forward
I can’t look behind.
It is in uncertainty
my Self I will find.
Healing isn’t easy.
You cry and you bleed.
Be kind to yourself
and continue to feed
your heart with light,
love, and positivity.
As I speak with my heart,
I tell it to be patient, courageous and fierce.
Shedding old skin,
conditionings of previous years-
it takes time to change
and evolve in this way.
So, I choose to trust my vision
and guidance today.

the tree spirits would appreciate it. . . and all of mother earth’s creatures, too .:. also, you’ve heard the sound the data centers make, right ? scroll to the second slide to hear it . it’s debilitating . echoing through the forests and landscapes wreaking havoc and stress on animals making it impossible for them to call out and find their mates and function properly .

i made this sign before a protest back in 2019 , and it rings truer now more than ever , and it always will .

people make ai art of animals and the natural world all the time (and other haberdash; i am also guilty of it) at the expense of inflicting harm to the very thing they are making art of .

i’ve recently deleted chatgpt from my phone tbh. . .

if you feel you must use ai you can use ECOGPT—-it exists . it claims to operate on a “regenerative” model where it funds environmental restoration. there may be greenwashing involved though so avoiding ai all together is better . also, every search on the @ECOSIA browser plants trees . ECOSIA has planted hundreds of millions of trees since it began . 🌿🌳🌲👌🏽
