I did the BWR (Belgian Waffle Ride) gravel race near Brevard, North Carolina. Great course in the Blue Ridge mountains. I won the 60-mile event with 4600 feet of climbing. Most the pros choose the 100-mile event. I was worried that by the time I finished 100 miles, the keg would be dry. The BWR promoters have a long history of promoting great gravel events. Michael Marckx promoted the first event in San Diego in 2011. I ran into a couple racing buddy's at the Durango airport.
