48+ panels and 8.5 pounds of textiles saved from the landfill ♻️
This t-shirt quilt was made from martial arts gis, lacrosse and hockey jerseys, a baja hoodie, and a few shirts from the recipient’s early childhood. Secondhand supplemental material from @citysewingroom 💕
@adoptjenny observed and approved 😂🐾
The “twist” this time was a crazy quilt duffel bag, lined with denim and featuring straps made from a taekwondo gi. Each star represents a skill!

Technically I think crochet is made of a LOT of twists 😎 but I digress. I had the pleasure of making this queen-sized t-shirt quilt for a very talented athlete — made of 38 t-shirt panels, representing decades of achievements and growth, that will keep her warm while she reminisces.
