Alpha Male was inspired by the rampant ridiculous influencers peddling terrible advise to young men. We filmed a wee video on the square in Dundalk.

Boring To Me was recorded and produced in July of 2025 by @stefanovitamusic. We released it in May of 2026. Here's the full video for Boring to Me. Jenny mixed the clip from old public service announcements, reels and advertisements found on the Internet Archives.

Boring to Me is a punk rock song inspired by indifference and lack of deep thought. You are not boring to us though!

We have a new single we're releasing soon and we'll be back rocking and rolling very soon!

Thank you to all who have supported our little outcast DIY project so far! Up the punx and down with the boring people!! by @needypetband

Part 2 of my interview with @needypetband! 🐾

In part 2 of this interview, Jenny and Ross talk about their song 'Mental Health' was born and started the band! This song delves into how organisations can be performative in ensuring their staff are "taking care of their mental health" whilst being the cause of stress to the individuals who work for them.

HAVOC TRAFFIC interview with rebel rockers @needypetband! 🐾

In part 1 of this interview, lead singer Jenny talks me through the inspiration behind her band's catchy song "Alpha Male" and how this cheeky track parodies the sinister "manosphere" that's warping the minds of young men today.

Stay tuned for part 2! 🖤

We made a hardcore song because we went to see a hardcore band and me and Ross are little sponges. I'm sorry about the sound quality. We call this one "Mushy Peas". This is the most abrasive Needy Pet song to date. by @needypetband

Fresh off the back of releasing their latest EP 'SINBIOTIC', Anja and her band of punk-rockers are taking Nan Rice's by storm with Rose Fatale and Needy Pet!

A.N.J.A. are a Belfast-based alternative rock four-piece that make hook-driven, high-energy music. Their live shows fuse grit, melody and chaos to take you on a ride of punk-rock mayhem. They draw influence from Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey, Hole, and the Arctic Monkeys and combine groove-heavy riffs with emotionally charged vocals to make their unique, hypnotic sound.

Rose Fatale are a high-energy punk-rock outfit from Belfast, known for unapologetically loud socialist-feminist anthems. This band's sound is shaped by trailblazers in the punk scene - Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Destroy Boys, Rush, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. Rose Fatale create fearless, rebellious music rooted in empowerment. They've just released their latest single "Hole in the Head" on all streaming platforms!

Needy Pet are an electric-energy rock’n’roll band from Dundalk and Dublin. This band make socialist, hard-hitting rock that takes you by the scruff. Following the release of their two hit singles “Mental Health” and “Alpha Male” in 2025, they released their latest anthem "Boring To Me" in May, a raging track to inspire us to keep fighting, be political, be loud and not boring by passively accepting the state affairs in our country. by @needypetband

Still grieving the loss of beloved Dolly and pondering the A, B, C Ireland meme. The meme also omits the invisible province known as the border and the sacred Louth, Monaghan, Cavan nuance that separates itself from the Dublin hip/yup bro and Munster Yurt/Baii culture.

Needy Pet hope you have a great week and we will be back soon. <3 See yis soon, Newry 🤝 by @needypetband

Rest in Peace, Dolly.

I feel like Dolly had this otherworldly glow and star quality that will never be replicated again. She was the epitome of feminine genius. Her songs were from the heart and her compassion for humanity just radiated through her very being.

There are musicians that can reach into pieces of people's hearts that the people themselves don't even realise are there; unresolved feelings, traumas and triumphs.

My earliest Dolly memories are being in the car as a little girl and my dad playing a cassette tape that had Dolly covering "It Wasn't God that Made Honky Tonk Angels" a song that I realised later was a cover of song by Kitty Wells in response to a sexist song by a male country artist:

"It's a shame that all the blame is on us women
It's not true that only you men feel the same
From the start most every heart that's ever broken
Was because there always was a man to blame"

We are losing a generation of warriors and true rebels. As I reflect tonight, I'm reminded of this song, this core memory for me - a tiny little girl listening to her dad's cassette tape of country songs and I appreicate the tiny sprinkles of stardust that wove me into me now.

Thank you, Dolly for forming some core memories, being a light on a dark world and leading not just with celebrity and glitter but true artistry, humanitarianism and magic. by @needypetband
