“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” - Charles Dickens. Charles Dickens definitely knew what he was talking about there. This year has been one of the best and worst years of my life. I said at the beginning of the year that 2024 better be my year, I’m not really sure if it was or not.

I definitely learned a lot this year about myself, about life, and many other things. The last official year of being a child (holy crap I turn 18 in 2025). My senior year began this year (holy crap I graduate next year). I applied to colleges (holy crap I go off to college next year). I had a lot of ‘lasts’ in my high school career this year. I also saw one of my favorite artists in concert, insane by the way. I made some amazing new friends through theater and my CACC class. I was given many amazing opportunities this year. I finally feel like a person, I feel like me.

I also went through some of the hardest times I have ever gone through this year, and I lost my great-grandma. She was one of the most important people in my life. I miss her, I always will. I was so fortunate to have spent as much time with her as I did (psst, this is your sign; never take the time you have with your loved ones for granted, whether it’s friends or family). I was fortunate to have spent this year with some of my best friends, I don’t know what I would do without them.

This year was definitely full of many changes and difficult things, but I made it! We all made it! Goodbye 2024, hello 2025! by @neeks875

My last Rockford 😭🫡. Actually crazy. I had a lot of fun, but I'm lowkey glad I don't have to do it again as sad as that is. Jenison High School's show was Notre Dame de Paris, and oh my god, they ate. I may or may not have the whole thing on video 👀. Bye Rockford, you will (slightly) be missed... by @neeks875
