BROOKLYN!! YOU ASKED FOR IT. 🎬🍸

Karaoke..but with Scripts 🎭

We kept hearing the same thing: “When are you bringing Spirits & Screenplays to the boroughs?”

Well… guess what.

WE’RE COMING TO BROOKLYN.

On October 8th, Spirits & Screenplays takes over @thetinycupboard in Bushwick for our first Brooklyn night..
And we want YOU in the room for it.

And this time, we’re bringing a host: @themartinmonster will be leading the night with gags, jokes, and plenty of unexpected moments. Welcome to The Martin Monster Show! Where anything can happen.

Grab a script. Pick a scene. Get on stage. Be ridiculous. Be dramatic. Try something you’ve never done before. Or just come hang out, have a drink, and watch it all happen.

No acting experience. No pressure. Just movies, drinks, performances, laughs, and a room full of people willing to get out of their comfort zone for a night.

The Long Island crowds have already shown us what this can become.

Now Brooklyn gets its turn.

📍 The Tiny Cupboard — Bushwick
📅 October 8
⏰ 7:30–10 PM
🎭 Spirits & Screenplays
🎤 Hosted by Martin Monster

$ 5 Performer's Passes for Purchase when you sign up
Each Pass Enters you Into a Fun Raffle!
Cheaper than signing up for an acting class 🫠😅

Tag the person you’re dragging onstage with you. 👇

We Have Company.. 💀🥀

Apparently, even Nevermore isn’t far enough to escape the family.

Thing has a habit of turning up where he isn’t expected. 🕷️ This time, as a Wednesday Addams–inspired Thing cake

Rich chocolate cake, vanilla frosting, and a hidden spill of blood-red sprinkles waiting beneath the surface.
A little gothic. A little macabre. Entirely Addams. 🖤

Custom sculpted cakes & edible art made in NYC.

& HUGE shout out to @southshore_woodworking
For the Custom Cake Board. 🔥

Spirits & Screenplays Take Two! 🥃🎬

We had people walk in who had never read a script before and some who were convinced there was absolutely no way they were getting up to perform.

Then they did!

And that was probably our favorite part of the night.
Spirits & Screenplays is about getting people out of their comfort zones in a way that actually feels fun. No acting experience needed. No auditions. No pressure to be good. Just grab a drink, choose a scene, meet some people, and give it a shot.

Watching complete strangers loosen up, laugh together, and surprise themselves was incredible.
We’re creating a space for people to try something they normally wouldn’t and August 23rd proved that it works.
