God gave me warnings, and I didn’t listen. I kept pushing, kept going, and kept moving when my body was telling me it needed rest. But God has a way of making you slow down when you refuse to listen. 🙏🏽
He showed me that fat meat ain’t greasy—and now my eyes are wide open.
I’ve had to sit down, slow down, and realize I can’t keep moving like I used to. My health matters. My body matters. I matter.
This season has taught me to stop putting myself last and start taking better care of ME. I’m listening now. I’m resting when I need to. I’m keeping my checkups and paying attention to what my body is telling me.
Sometimes the warning comes before the wake-up call. I’m grateful God gave me another chance to listen.
Take care of yourself, y’all. Don’t wait until your body forces you to slow down by @nefercouture_

Today, I’m giving thanks to God for allowing me to still be here. 🙏🏽❤️ Despite the health issues and challenges I’m facing, I know God has kept me and continues to carry me through. Missing my brother extra heavy today. For 39 years, he was a part of my life, my memories, my laughter, and my heart. Losing him has left a void that can never be filled.
Some days I smile when I think about the memories we shared, and other days I feel completely lost without him. Grief is the price of love, and I loved my brother dearly.
