It’s my birthday 🎂 🎉! A lot to be grateful for!

I was once taught birthdays are a way to celebrate the year you’ve had, and a declaration to the year you’re about to have. This year, I bought my first home 🎉🥳👏🏿🍾🎊! Something I dreamt of doing from a child. Sometimes I wake up in it… still surprised it’s mine…praise God!

If I told you how my year started... Long story short, my heart stopped beating, just before I was revived by medics and rushed in an ambulance to the resuscitation ward, where I self-discharged myself way too early (lol) found out the hard way (living with a broken rib isn’t easy lol)

I lost my Aunty in the same hospital, the same ward, a few weeks later

Felt like life was chipping away…

There’s a lesson in every bad moment. My aunt is one of the most positive people I’ve ever met, and I knew she’d be telling us to keep pursuing our goals, so we did. A couple hiccups came about during the year, but we remained steadfast, focused on our goals

Some may consider me boring. I’m good at setting out plans and taking actionable steps to make things happen. When the boring things need to be done for the bigger picture, that’s where you’ll find me. I think knowing I was a few seconds away from not being here changed a lot about how I approached life…I won’t bore you with the details…. the only important part is…Everyday is an opportunity to thank God for another day…do it with prayer and action

I don’t have any story’s about life ‘just’ falling into place or miraculously working out. Every single day, something in my life can fall apart lol…you just have to be patient enough to pick it up….rebuild it…and keep on building. If you have faith, you have a future.

I get things wrong, and have to start again a lot…but it’s all part of a joruney

This is the poem of mine that Rio Ferdinand tweeted, the one that will get you through your exams and anything else you're working towards and fighting for.

I wrote this to motivate me when I felt like giving up spoken word and every time I feel like I've done enough, this poem reminds me to keep going.

I’ve had a very non-internet year. Most of it I’ve spent deactivated. It’s easy to get caught in a loop of only consuming content, rather than living a content life.
When you put the phone down, you realise how much more there is to achieve - how much time you actually have. It’s easy to get caught in the numbness of these algorithms

Always remember, the internet celebrates what you’ve done away from it. That doesn’t mean don’t get creative; quite the opposite. Create content for the internet to consume, rather than spending your life consumed by the Internet. Offer your talent as tribute, rather than your life. First couple weeks off socials I had moments of thinking I’m missing something; losing out on opportunities. Until I realised, nothing changes in the time you’re gone. So you either return with valuable skills and achievements, or stay here and fall into numb repetitions.. I remember when I first made my social accounts, only wanted it to release work. Now I’m watching ai gorillas and speaker corner clips. Maybe I’m searching them myself but that’s not the point lol

When it’s all said and done, when you’re asked what you did with this here internet, I hope your answer isn’t just “scrolled”

Proud to have been a speaker at The Excel for @ukbbshow HSBC JP Morgan

Destinations like this are always sweeter when you share it with people you’ve been on the journey with.

I enjoy events that I go to focused on what value I can provide, but leave feeling as if I’ve learnt more. Amazing speakers, businesses and just people everywhere.
The interesting thing about creating is how much of it is done in isolation. I write, record, post and carry on. The reminder I get every time I meet people that listen to my work is humbling. The real life impact you have, that you don’t realise until you talk to people in person. This is about me but also an indirect for those reading (so I’m talking to you - take offence lol). Many time I speak to my talented friends and they overthink releasing so much they never release. @bola_sol is a perfect example to me and others of how far being consistent takes you. This event was for The Bola Sol show - a consistently brilliant outlet from Bola.

If you have a gift, stop overthinking and start over sharing.

The last time I visited The Excel was when I hired it for our proposal. So far I’ve only had good memories in this place. To ensure I keep that run going I’m never watching Man Utd in here - gotta ensure I only have good memories. Can’t have my team stressing me lol

It's not often you get to share a stage with one of your heroes... Rio Ferdinand @rioferdy5 the man called my work "Amazing" a man I watched growing up called my videos and performance amazing. Blessings.
Today I was invited to perform and give a small talk on the Referendum this week.

The importance of this event is to encourage young people to vote, but I'd be lying if I told you it wasn't a highlight of my career to be getting interviewed by a man I watched from a kid.

Today was pretty cool, chilled with Oprah, you?
I was invited for an intimate sit down with Oprah Winfrey today and once my mum gets hold of this pictures it's a wrap for any cousins and family group chats around the world.

My mum is going to mention it in every conversation, even ones that don't relate.

The only woman who's not related to me that my mum would let me call my mum, but bmt though she was talking about how she was reading a newspaper once and was shocked by how much money she'd made, that's the sort of money I'm trying to make in 2018, because the shock I have when seeing my bank account is mainly due to the fact that I didn't think I'd spent so much on fast food and trainers. Bmt I thought I was doing good financially in 2018, then we sat down with Oprah and well... Yh... Time for New New Years resolutions.

God Bless my Queen, gave us unlimited advice, and took time out to teach us the lessons she learnt when building her empire...you know you're rich when your empire is you, bmt.
