[Accidentally Deleted my Original Post] … I’ve gotten some new folks here, so allow me to say “Hi!” 👋🏾

For a long time, I thought “growth” was figuring out how to become the “right” kind of woman, but now I’m more interested in asking:

Who decided what “right” was? And who am I when I stop trying to fit the definition? 🤔

I’m creating a space to question what we’ve inherited, look inward, and explore the parts of ourselves we were never taught to fully know.

There is NO space for the single & unmarried woman to SAFELY & FREELY exist in Christianity without SOME KIND of SHAME. 😥

We have made marriage & motherhood the epitome of “God’s Plan” and it’s a problem. What we are calling “God’s Design” is actually patriarchy in disguise! 🥸

You are allowed to create a life that works for you even if you have to unlearn years of accepted beliefs to get there! ❤️

There is NO space for the single & unmarried woman to SAFELY & FREELY exist without SOME KIND of SHAME. 😥

We have made marriage & motherhood the graduation of being a Successful Woman 👩🏾‍🎓… and the women who suffer most are the ones who did everything “right,” but still didn’t “graduate.” (I have enough conversations with other and DM’s to show that this pain is real.)

It’s these women who need a safe place to land & the freedom to create a life that WORKS for them! I think it’s time to question if what we call “God’s Design” could actually be patriarchy in disguise. 🤔 If womanhood requires a husband to validate it, then what are we telling the women who never get one?

I will no longer sit around and just let this rhetoric continue to tear my girlies up! 🫶🏾 God’s Way DOES NOT ALWAYS lead to DESIRED RESULTS. I’m sorry, but it’s true! To continue teaching people that if they do something then they are guaranteed certain outcomes is unhealthy and not rooted in reality, IN ANY AREA!
