Ode to all of the wonderful people who shared their beautiful homes, precious time, delicious meals, and sick studios with me this past month — wish I could post 20 more! Feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and above all, grateful. Hey, so a mentor of mine once said to me that one can't do it all in life. She's thirty years my elder, and I, having been raised Catholic in a Mexican household, naturally leaned into my connate filial piety, and accepted this belief. Fast forward eight years, and now I have evidence to support a new perspective:

The iron that makes your blood red, was created in the core of a massive star at the very end of its life before it went Supernova, and relinquished that iron into the universe along with all of the other elements that make you up.

The iodine in your thyroid gland that's essential for your body's metabolic function, was likely created when two neutron stars collided, resulting in what's called a Killanova — the primary mechanism by which heavy metals like iodine and things like gold and platinum come to be.

And all of the hydrogen that comprises most of your body was created in the primordial inferno of the early universe shortly after the Big Bang.

The mind-blowing series of events that had to take place in order for you and everything around you to exist is astonishing.

Who's in control? No one, and everyone; nothing, and everything. There are no rules. So go off and try, try to do it all. Keep on creating inexhaustibly, in craze, en masse, because the vagaries of our stardust existence are not only marvelous, they're essential 🪄🪩🗝
