I'll say it louder for the folks at the back... I am so bored of seeing utter garbage posters using AI..
The Myth of saving money by using AI is exactly that, a myth.. it's an illusion.
You are not saving money, you are in fact pissing over all your own hard work you put into the project by instantly alienating a good proportion of the audience that will no longer watch it.
You will not win ribbons at festivals, you will lose views and clicks, as well as let down your entire cast and crew who worked with you, put in long hours, got cold, wet and dirty to help you make your film.
Please do yourselves a favour and hire someone.. If you can't afford it even using a still from the film will be better than using the god awful stuff I keep seeing.
But also reach out, deals can be made, most of us want to make it work for all of us.

A short term saving that leads to a long term failure of your project!

Ok well that was a lot of fun..
@residentevil was a blast from start to finish.

I enjoy making concepts, they are great base ideas that I may use one day, its rough, underlit but I just had this idea stuck from 10 minutes into the film.

Getting hired as an artist is hard enough but the increase in stories I am seeing
from people hiring “artists” only to find
out the artist used gen AI without disclosing it is making it even harder for everyone.

IF you as an artist are hired and use gen ai without the client knowing you are a disgrace, you destroy the careers of authors, film makers, other artists and small businesses, you make new artists almost impossible to hire as the trust hiring artists that are up and coming is gone.

All to make a quick buck.
Look in the mirror.

Massive congratulations to @paul_longley on his awesome "Gossip Couple" sketches being picked up by @bbcradio4 .. I have followed Paul for years and his characters are some of the best written shorts out there. go follow Paul if you haven't seen him. Always told him I would do something for him and now is the perfect time.

Note: in this illustration Paul is not driving he is parked, his keys are in his pocket :)
