POSTS STORIES REELS

5 years ago last month, my arrangement of "Personal Jesus" (@DepecheMode) hit No.4 on the @Billboard Dance Club Charts -- released by @MichelleKashMusic, and produced by Aaron Kamin of The Calling -- See Aaron and I in this exact session in the 2nd photo (2018) in L.A. at his studio. Big thanks to my sponsor @Spectraflex for making such fantastic instrument cables, and @Fender for making electric guitars that I love playing!

Sometime in 2017 amid playing L.A. area shows with Michelle as her music director and guitar player, I remember working at my studio in North Hollywood late on a Friday or Saturday night on my solo music and getting a text from her asking me if I could come up with an arrangement for this great Depeche Mode tune. I said, "Yeah, sure!" I sent an audio memo shortly after and that was it! We started playing it out, and Aaron loved it, so Michelle and he decided it should be recorded. Who knew it would hit the sky? (Well, I kinda felt it.) (BY THE WAY, check out @michellekashmusic's latest single "Gravity"!)

Madonna was on the chart for many weeks at this time and had just fallen from the No.1 position below us as we hit No.4.

All of the above... A great pleasure and honor. 🙏🏼🎸🎶

I've been a bit too busy to post this sooner... Cheers everyone!

A quick break from the grind...Gotta play it right if someone like Jimi's over my shoulder...A little off-the-cuff 12 bar with a little twang à la Danny Gatton, à la... I guess myself 😅🎸 #bluesimprovisation #neilrambaldi #guitarist #fender #blues by @neilrambaldi

Huge changes on the horizon, and taking a moment in the rural foothills of Appalachia to reflect and master-plan this life. (This favorite coffee mug I acquired on one of my many travels on the I-40 through New Mexico.)

***ALBUM RECOMMENDATION: If you haven't already, check out Stu's 1989 album Kings of Sleep, among his others. You're in for a treat if you like instrument rock / rock fusion / progressive rock. Stu is among the most unique of bass players and artists, as his songwriting / composition abilities shine through in all of his bass playing with other artists like @joesatriani , @stevevaihimself , etc. on their past records and tours.

This particular album of his came onto my radar only in the past year, thanks to a post Stu made, and coincidentally it contains a track "Call of the Wild", which as many of you know, my 2017 release A Call To The Wild has a similar title, but unique meaning. ...Nice blind coincidence! 😀

Cheers! -NR 🎸🎶

OUT TODAY 🎶🔊 August has been a big month! Michelle Kash's "Salvation" single that I co-wrote with her is out today on all streaming platforms! It has a cool 80s pop vibe. It's a very different version than what we started with, and was produced by @stashkonig with additional production by Aaron Kamin of The Calling (Aaron also produced our Billboard Top-10 Dance Club Charts hit for Michelle -- "PERSONAL JESUS" featuring my arrangement and guitar -- hitting No.4!)

Huge thanks to the great folks at Music Supervisor / @weget_artists for representing and licensing my funky track "Everything You Say" 🔊 (off of my 2nd album, A Call To The Wild) which recently got placed into the updated soundtrack of the 2nd season, episode 13 / "Kid Salinas" of this great series, Midnight Caller, which originally aired from 1988 through 1991. This episode originally aired in 1990, and apparently required updating of some of the background music.

I'm glad to see my song stood up well alongside the other tracks as the only -- or one of the only -- independently published ones (my publishing company PRISMISM ®️ Music) alongside what were otherwise with Universal music publishing on this episode.

I'll post about any known future availability of this once I know, but if anyone sees this series come up on any streaming services (besides YouTube), give me a shout! It hasn't been available anywhere for years besides people uploading clips to YouTube, but apparently some new things are on the horizon with it, and a lot of people miss this show.

Cheers!
