Household presents Pound Of Flesh, by @paigeofmagic & @hasini.wisna - for our 8th and FINAL exhibition at Household Gallery as we know it. Opening - next Friday April 18th at 5pm.

Pound of Flesh marks the culmination of our residency with artists Paige Neis-Beer and Hasini Wisna—a visceral exhibition delving into the cycles of cellular multiplication, birth, death, and every iteration of her. At its core lies the Mother Gown, a liberating symbol around which the show revolves. Challenging beauty ideals and embodying a state of transformation. The exhibition is an ecstatic release of bodies untethered from expectation —toward untamed, liberated, fluid expression.

Process is central in Pound of Flesh—Scraps, samples, and fragmented forms—what some might call leftovers—are stitched, stained, and sculpted into realised works. Garments, ink sinks, and tattooed leather —speak to the body and its metamorphoses.

Expect the grotesque. Expect the glorious. Pound of Flesh is a raw celebration of the human condition —in all its unruly, unapologetic form.
