2025.WHAT. A. YEAR. And this will be the longest post I've ever made. While working on the set of Fine Girl in October 2024, driving between locations, I blanked out at the wheel and the car went off a bit, but thankfully, no accident. That's when my sister Steph @stephdadet started to suspect something was wrong with me.Months later, in January 2025, on the set of Low-key Adults, sharing a room with her, she noticed I was breathing funny at night. And her alarm bells went off again. And she kept asking. But like the proverbial ostrich, I buried my head in the sand and constant babysitting by her and my brother Ismail @temmytahyor21 . Oh, how I stressed these two! In the months that followed, I got sicker. I avoided having my pictures taken/posted, except I took them myself so I could hide the now obvious bulge in my neck. I couldn't post pictures of my daughter's graduation. I shrunk away from group pictures. I withdrew from life in general. And, I lost a lot of friends and acquaintances. Because they didn't understand why I had suddenly withdrawn, wasn't taking calls, wasn't responding to messages, and no longer was my bubbly self. There were days I was sitting in the hospital staring at my phone ring/beep, but couldn't answer because, I was physically, mentally, emotionally drained. All the while, some people felt I was airing their messages and ghosting on them and went ahead to build narratives around that assumption. Others felt I wasn't responding because I didn't want to give them job. Meanwhile, all I was looking for in that moment strength to live through the day and wake up the next. *(continued in the comment section)* by @neker17
