Over the past week, I had the honor of being a part of the return of 27 World War II veterans to Normandy to commemorate the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. I learned so much from this program, created and run by the @bestdefensefoundation .

I heard countless stories from some of our nation’s bravest, and shared so many special moments with so many people: caregivers, fellow NextGen students, members of the medical staff, members of the executive team, and, of course, the veterans themselves. The exemplary people on this program have truly inspired me to wake up every morning and be the best version of myself. To the Best Defense Foundation and all of the people and sponsors who made this week possible, thank you for cultivating an environment centered around mutual respect, love, and taking care of the ones who took care of us. by @nel.son71

Blessed to announce my commitment to continue my studies and water polo career at Claremont Mckenna! Thank you so much to my parents and all of my family and friends who have supported me to this point, and a special thanks to Coach K, Coach Lonzo, and Coach Merryman for all of their help through this process. by @nel.son71
