I thought starting my own business would mean more freedom and less stress.

I was half right 😅
What nobody tells you is how much of it is invisible. The late nights nobody sees, the decisions you make alone, the moments you wonder if you’re doing any of this right.

From the outside it looks like pretty pictures and flexible hours. On the inside it’s a lot of figuring things out as you go.

I made this carousel for everyone who’s somewhere in the middle of that. Just so you know you’re not the only one.

Swipe to the end, that last slide is the one I needed to hear most 🤍

Founders, what’s something you learned that no one warned you about?

Why aesthetics affect your mood ✨

The psychology:
✨ Beauty activates the brain’s reward system, so pleasing visuals can genuinely lift your mood.

✨ Harmonious environments are easier for the brain to process, which is why they feel calming.

✨ What you wear can influence how you think and feel (enclothed cognition).

✨ Aesthetic sensitivity is part of the personality trait Openness to Experience.

Being drawn to beauty isn’t superficial. Some brains are simply wired to feel it more deeply.

The conversations you have. The company you keep. What you consume, what you watch, what you read, who you surround yourself with.

Little reminder that it all matters ✨
