Messed up the second eye. 😅 With watercolor, don’t go too dark too soon.. there’s no real way back once the pigment is on the paper.

A little tip: complementary colors are perfect for reducing saturation. Complementary colors have two jobs:
Layer them to tone each other down and create more natural colors - like i did with the Iris.

Or put them next to each other to make them pop: blue eyeshadow + orange-brown eyes, purple eyeliner + amber eyes.

Complementary colors sit opposite each other on the color wheel. When layered, they can neutralize each other slightly and create more natural, complex colors.

The key is not to go too dark in the beginning and to leave the brightest areas completely white. You can always add more color, but it’s much harder to get that luminosity back.

Then just build it up layer by layer and let the colors do their thing. 👁️🤝
