Giving our podcast intro its own moment ✨

In our podcast, we talk to people from across the creative industry about all those very human moments that come with making things: feeling stuck, facing your fears, doubting yourself, getting lost, and finding your way again

The opening sequence turns these feelings into playful visual metaphors, which is exactly what we wanted it to feel like

We’re super happy to have collaborated with Tommaso Zerbi, who developed the concept and packed the visuals with funny little details that perfectly capture the spirit of the podcast

NEU’ve asked our talent a multidisciplinary authored studio Breathing Exercises @breathingexercises.studio and its creative lead Nastya dyu @nastya.dyu about why craft and animation are having a moment right now.

It lines up with everything we’re seeing across the brands we work with: the more AI-generated content floods the feed, the more people crave something that feels made by hand — something with texture, rhythm, a little imperfection.

Craft isn’t a nostalgia play. It’s how brands prove there’s still a human on the other side.
Look inside the carousel and enjoy!

Breathing Exercises @breathingexercises.studio — website screencast

Everything you actually see is handcrafted.

The background is fully hand-drawn, and so is the girl — developed from scratch with an illustrator, starting from a blank page with zero references for what should live on that hero spot. The leg-kick animation is frame-by-frame, performed by a real person — old-school, by hand. We wanted her caught between two worlds: something natural, close to the sky, but never fully removed from it like a hermit — she’s still grounded in an urban landscape.

Turns out that’s basically how we work too: balancing craft and tech instead of leaning hard into either one.

Meet Fumetsu [不滅] 🩸

He traveled a long road before becoming a true master of sinking his fangs into his foolish, innocent victims. As a child, he practiced on mannequins and secretly bit his classmates. Now, all it takes is a single glance, and you’ll be ready to offer yourself up as his next snack. That is, of course, if you’re his type.

Meet Kyoki [狂気]

You can’t spot him at first. Looking for him is pointless. But if you find him standing in front of you in a dark alley at night, it means you’ve already been chosen 🌚

He was an outgoing, funny, energetic man: always roaming the city, playing cards for money, known for being a womanizer. Twenty years after his death, his daughter Baonan still doesn’t truly know who he was. Strangely, people compare her to him. A free spirit, a little different from everyone else in Baotou.

Tiger with Wings is a documentary, shot on 16mm in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China, an industrial town between grassland and desert. A daughter’s journey back to the father she never knew.
His name, Debiao, means “tiger with wings.”
