✨ After 3 years of finding my feet in motherhood I finally feel ready to start welcoming in some family traditions and rituals, and this was a beautiful way to end/start our babyboy’s year - waking up to a circle of photos taken throughout his past year.

🕯️This feels like a beautiful ritual that will stick and evolve with us, (perhaps being more organized next year and using a less overwhelming amount of photos 😅).

☀️ The idea is taken from the Montessori Birthday Walk where the child completes a symbolic walk around a “sun”, whilst holding a globe representing the earth, and reflects on stories and milestones from their past year.

How did this big-little creature fit inside me just one week ago?! How incredible the female body is.

This photo feels like a quiet celebration of the journey—what it held, what it released, and what it’s becoming again. This time, I felt my uterus contracting intensely in the first two days after birth—almost like labor all over again—and shrinking so quickly it surprised me. Last time, my uterus stayed big and empty for what felt like ages, and that physical space mirrored an emotional one too. The postpartum period was longer, harder, heavier.

Every body is different, every recovery is different—even for the same person. So far, integrating a second baby into my life has felt more easeful, both physically and emotionally. However your body chooses to heal is natural. However you feel is valid.

Here’s to softness, strength, and every version of healing.

✨ *The sacred golden hour after birth.* ✨

This photo was taken at the end of the night just after welcoming our second baby into the world, at home, surrounded by the most incredible birth team.
These women honored the magic of birth, treated it as the sacred experience it is, and supported me in a way that made me feel truly like a Goddess.

I feel so grateful to have experienced birth in this way (again) — in a space that felt safe, intimate, and empowering. Wherever you choose to give birth, having a team who sees the power and beauty of birth, respects the process and believes in you, makes all the difference. This is what the first moments after birth can look like: peaceful, tender and full of love.

Here, vibrating together on the powerful energy of childbirth, I said goodnight to my birth team and fell asleep in my own bed with this new little human who chose me as her mum.

To these incredible women — thank you for holding me in this space and helping welcome in this new life with such love, presence and trust.
You have forever shaped this story in the most sacred way.
We treasure you 🫶

Upcycled Christmas Calendar filled with fun activities, cosy family time and acts of kindness. Making the calendar with your toddler is a fun Christmas activity in itself which could be done tomorrow as the Day 1 advent activity, all you need is some cardboard, old toilet/kitchen roll tubes, a pen and glue/blu-tac, the paint and glitter is a bonus. The activities can be made up as you go along, the night before each new day ❄️ ⛄️ 🤍

Happy BreastFeeding Awareness Week
🤍 To all the amazing mamas out there - from figuring out the first feed to figuring out the last - this journey is not always an easy one, but it’s so worth it. AND to all the mamas who want to breastfeed but are unable to. Let’s all continue to support each other, it takes a village to raise a mother 🤗 (PS to my friends I haven’t seen in a while, yes I had a baby… 2 years ago 🤣)
