Fun times! 😂 Billing and invoicing… ugh, not my favorite part! 🤣 But when you own your own business, you’ve gotta do the behind-the-scenes work, too. It’s not all about creating and producing beautiful work! The joys of being your own boss! At least I love what I do! 🧵✂️❤️ #NellsUpholstery #SmallBusinessOwner #BehindTheScenes #EntrepreneurLife #BossLady SmallBusinessLife TheNotSoGlamorousSide by @nell_writes_

Hey friends! How’s it going? ☀️💛 Here’s a version of my voice completely stripped down—no auto-tune, no extra frou-frou, just me. 🎶 I’m discovering that I really don’t care for the overly commercialized version of my voice. I find myself drawn more and more to a raw, authentic sound. There’s something so intimate and personal about it, and I feel like it complements the types of songs I write beautifully. Sometimes, less really is more. ❤️ I hope you enjoy this little moment of music, and I pray you have an absolutely blessed day! 🥰 #NellWrites #RawVocals #AuthenticSound #OriginalMusic #SingerSongwriter IndieArtist NoAutotune AcousticVibes MusicFromTheHeart FindingMyVoice BlessedDay by @nell_writes_

This journey is one I never imagined I would be on. I never realized how long I had been bracing—just trying to make it through the next day, living like everything was temporary, trying to survive. Now, thankfully, God has me in a season of building, creating, and embracing His love. As I finish remodeling my living room, I’ve started making it feel like home. Tonight, I unpacked my books and placed them on the bookshelf. Such a simple thing. But for me, it’s huge. When you’ve lived in a space where you have to hide your things, pack them away, or be ready to move quickly, unpacking means something. And tucked inside that box was *Never Let a Unicorn Scribble!* 😊 I love so many books, but this little children’s book brings me so much joy. During a time of so much heartache, I had to find things that made me smile—and this book did, over and over. I kept it at my thrift shop and would read it to any little kids who would let me. They loved it, and I loved sharing that little bit of joy with them. If you’re looking for a cute gift, oh my goodness, this would be a great one. 🦄 Now my books are out in the open. There’s a couch and a peaceful living room. No yelling. No screaming. No walking on eggshells. Just me, sitting with God, enjoying my home. I can’t begin to express how good it feels to set up my house for myself—to know I’m safe, it’s okay, and I’m allowed to be here and enjoy it. Tonight, healing looked like books on a shelf—and finding one that still makes me smile. 🤍 by @nell_writes_
