CLOSED TOMORROW! A reminder we are taking the day off tomorrow. Our first public holiday off this year! A rest and re-set before we head into the crazy end of year stuff. Some useless trivia. ‘Patron’ won the Melbourne Cup the year Nellie was born. Thanks Patrons!!! by @nelliesshed

Ok,the song choice is a bit dramatic…tomorrow we will be serving out of takeaway cups and containers only as we are on a skeleton staff and it’s gonna rain! You are still more than welcome to sit in and relax. Just taking the extra pressure of dish washing out of the equation. #justicefordishpigs by @nelliesshed

Just a horses heads up… like this fella, we are taking a rest Melbourne Cup day so won’t be open. Open Saturday, Sunday and Monday as usual ! Giddy Up! by @nelliesshed

You should probably speed walk to Nellie’s now to get your hands on these latest offerings from @thenestblooms before they come home with one of us. by @nelliesshed

Little Ziggy knows the cool place to be for kids. A toastie whilst watering, a bit of drawing and a wander around. Dogs, kids, babies and goats. That’s our jam. by @nelliesshed

Where I’m writing today: Nellie’s Shed, a nursery and cafe in Woodend, Victoria - Australia).

The coffee (and its mug) are lovely, but it’s the apple-rhubarb muffin that’s really blowing me away.

Thanks for the beverage, Emy - I’m glad to hear the world cinema collection I published was so appreciated.

If you feel like buying me something to drink to support my work at 5AM StoryTalk, you can do that at the Buy Me a Coffee link in the bio. You’ll probably get a shoutout, too!
