The Long Road 2026 🤠

Two whole years.

Today marks two years since I was first hospitalised through pure agony and after being unwell for years. After being told it was IBS, given tonnes of different medications, I was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Its wild to think it’s been two years since this journey began, but it’s been going on for so much longer. Raising awareness and money to drive support and care for people with Colitis and Crohn’s is so crucial! You don’t see the impact and toll it truly takes on people. From chronic pain, to fatigue, to restricted diets and some days barely being able to move, it affects everyone differently. Be kind to people, because this is a life long condition, with good days and bad days. But everyday matters ❤️‍🩹

Two years ago today, I hobbled into @alicewt123 car trying not to cry from pain with Fi who I had had just two months!Today I hiked 11kms with my soul dog and just smiled. I frequently doubt myself, judge my own body image and worry that I talk to much and overthink, but it’s moments like this when I realise how much my body and mind has gone through and gotten me through. I’m proud of her! We should all be proud of ourselves. Since these first two photos I have changed career, relocated to a different county, and gone through a lot of change, all to find a better space for me to not just survive but thrive.

This June I am walking 42kms across a weekend to raise money and awareness for Crohn’s and colitis. I’ve always loved the outdoors and nature but for my body this will be a real test! Any donations towards the amazing work @crohnsandcolitisuk do would be incredible.
