POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A special night at HAHMP’s 40th Annual Scholarship Gala!

Grateful to be part of the celebration and capture some of the moments from this special evening.

Congratulations to Raul Peibert on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, and to all the students receiving scholarships! Your hard work and dedication deserve to be celebrated.

A big congratulations to the HAHMP board for their hard work in making this event possible, and a special thank you to the sponsors for supporting these students and their futures.

Cheers to all the past HAHMP Presidents and board members for the $800K+ in scholarship funds raised and passed on to support the next generation of media professionals.

To future media and communications students: keep creating, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Your story is just getting started!

📸 Special thanks to UH WCE students and media entrepreneurs, Jalilah and Andrew, for capturing these photos and other content throughout the evening!

Friends of El Salvador extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for Flores y Sonrisas and helped make this special evening a beautiful celebration of community, generosity, and our shared love for empowering communities toward self-sufficiency.

Every ticket, sponsorship, donation, and act of support helps create meaningful impact in 14 communities across El Salvador. Your generosity helps provide food and toiletry baskets for families, while supporting health and wellness programs that encourage active lifestyles and disease prevention. It also helps advance our ongoing work in education, community development, and creating opportunities for communities to thrive.

What makes this work possible is you! The friends, families, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to believe that together we can make a difference, one community and one life at a time.

Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and helping us bring more flores y sonrisas to communities in El Salvador.

¡Mil gracias por ser parte de this journey!

Using AI to communicate clearly & work smarter.

1. Tell stronger stories
2. Reach more people
3. Amplify your message
4. Save time on work behind the scenes

Practical ways to use AI intentionally and authentically.

No "AI slop".

We're leading this session at the Empower Summit in Sugar Land on April 24th.

Camera workshop day with our summer interns 🎥

Got hands on with camera settings, exposure, and button layouts.

We also had a competition to see how fast they could set exposure.

3 rounds. Increasingly more difficult lighting conditions.

Times ranged from 21.2 seconds to 1 min 50 seconds (tricky ND filters).

Congrats to @notnoneed for winning 2 out of 3 rounds 🫡 taken in East Downtown Houston by @nelsonvanegas

Think your AI sucks?
It’s not the AI, it’s your prompts. 😏

Come hang with us Sunday, Aug 24, 1-2 PM at the Houston Media Conference, and we’ll show you how to talk to AI so it actually gives you the good stuff.

This isn’t another “AI is the future” lecture.

It’s a hands-on session where we give you:
- Crazy prompts & templates
- Time-saving intel
- Frameworks to be a better co-creator

Tickets start at $15, and proceeds go to supporting Houston’s creative scene. 🎥

Conference tix:
$160 (all 3 days)
$125 (Sat–Sun)
or $15 for our session only
(& other individual sessions)

Tickets at swamp.org

P.S. We don’t get a dime. Your ticket supports @SWAMPfilm and @CinemaSocietyHTX, two nonprofits supporting H-town's creative community. 🎬
