POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“I came from a scene where, being young and ‘against the system,’ you often ended up consuming exactly what the system itself was offering you. Inside hardcore I found another form of rebellion—a more conscious and positive one.”

For my latest scene report for @bandcamp we went back in time to Argentina’s hardcore scene in the 80s and 90s — a self made, DIY, organized resistance against police brutality and the violence left behind by the civic military regime — including releases by:

This morning I woke up and thought “wouldn’t it be funny if I tell my friends what I worked on this year while i’m in my pajamas” and then it turned into a full video that expresses my love for Tweety bird, cumbia mashups, and chaos infused storytelling.

So here’s some of 2026 so far 💌

“These are songs for dreaming and for letting time slip by in the best possible way.“

For my latest column for @bandcamp I put together some of my favorite records made by Latino artists — a little away from what the music industry understands or labels as such, this one features a comprehensive work of Brazilian candomblé, cumbia sonidera from Mexico City, and a new collaboration by Meridian Brothers and Mexican Institute of Sound, among others.

Including releases by

@meridianbrothers
@camilolara

I spent January 2026 in the ecstasy that is Buenos Aires in the summer — peak time to visit if you love the sun and being drenched in heavenly energy, carbohydrates, and wine.

All this a little intro for another year of BEST LATIN MUSIC ON @bandcamp - now in its third year of existence (!), I write about music, artists, and bands I love. A wide variety of genres and geographies, reissues and new artists alike.

The January 2026 issue is out now and you can find it on daily.bandcamp.com or following the link in my bio 👼🏼 it has music by @amgsinvisibles @farout_recordings @agua___viva @adioscometa @monedanacional @rondalla.rondador @lars.petit @grossorecords and a big shoutout to writer and DJ @bongohead_peaceandrhythm
