We lovingly prepared 76 bags of groceries, supplies, and clothing for our unhoused neighbors in Eagle Rock & HLP this week. Our bagging crew fulfilled special requests including puppy and dog food, butane, shoes, clothing, medicine and more. 🀝 After we finish filling the bags and special requests, our outreach crew rolls up to take the bags directly to our neighbors. We had three students from ER JrSr Highschool today. πŸ¦…πŸ€˜ Special shout out to @iamamandalake for designing our cool new flyers and to our generous sponsor and site host @highlandparkbrewery. Your contributions are appreciated greatly. πŸ™β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯ We deliver this support through weekly outreach, connection to services, and policy advocacy. LA County is considering deep cuts to homelessness services β€” including the programs that keep people from losing housing in the first place. As a grassroots organization serving unhoused residents in Northeast LA, we see the human impact behind these decisions every day. These cuts would mean: ❌ Less outreach ❌ No prevention programs ❌ No Safe Parking ❌ Fewer supports to help people find and keep housing ButΒ we still have a voice. The County is taking public feedback untilΒ Dec 5, and NELA deserves to be heard. If you live, work, or care about this community: πŸ’› Please submit a comment πŸ’› Ask the County to protect prevention and supportive services πŸ’› Share this post to help others speak up Every story and every voice matters. https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=SHJZBzjqG0WKvqY47dusgY_-2s_XsqtOmJhPotjYNL9UQ1dURFNLWkhKSk1LSkVWVENLT0pOMTJMQi4u&route=shorturl #NENOCares #NELA #HomelessnessAwareness CommunityPower SupportOurNeighbors by @neno4la
As 2025 comes to a close, help NENO prepare for another year of service. All of our funds go towards resources for our neighbors in Northeast LA, and supporting the services we provide. From $10 to $100, a little goes a long way. We’re aiming to raise at least $2500 to carry us through the first months of 2026. Spread the word!
