POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Somedays
written by @limkaysiu in 2003 in response to news of the day
1. The US war on Iraq for WMD (weapons of mass destruction? OIL maybe lah)
2. Farmers from India taking their own lives as their crops were destroyed by GM seeds provided by Monsanto
He was screaming at the TV in anger daily that @neosweelin banned watching the news. She told him to go read a book or something instead
He wrote this song that is still so relevant today. Love over hate. Peace over war

Step by step
Live each moment
Keep your faith
Trust yourself and
Be powerful in your love
And the way will be clear
With nothing to fear
And your heart will be light
You'll get back your sight
And you'll see what is just is
What is done is done
And you'll find you have
Time on your side

And just like that, we’ve come to the end of White at the WhiteBox.

We had such a lovely time with Cotton and Wrinkle, watching them go from a world of white to one filled with little splashes of colour. More than anything, it was really special seeing the children’s faces, their reactions and all the little moments of wonder that happened along the way.

It feels a little bittersweet knowing that this was our last White before The Artground at Goodman Arts Centre closes at the end of December.

But we’re not quite done yet.

Before we say goodbye to TAG at GAC, we’d love for you to join us for one final celebration.

Save the date! 19 & 20 December.

We’re planning a TAG Closing Party / Fundraising Event, and we’d love to have our community with us as we celebrate everything The Artground has been and the many people who have made it possible.

More details soon.
For now, just save the dates.

(P.S. The Artground at One Holland Village isn’t going anywhere, so this isn’t goodbye to TAG. Just goodbye to GAC!) taken in The Artground by @neosweelin

Take a peek into the world of White through our photoshoot.

“It was most delightful and magical. Engaging show for the little ones and adults too. Truly appreciate how all the different parts of a production come together so seamlessly to create such a great experience.” - Audience Member, 2025

White is a playful, highly visual show for very young children, and the perfect first theatre experience.

For children 3 to 6 years old.

This morning, @learningfromthemargins, @neosweelin, @limkaysiu and I were all charged for "taking part in a public assembly within a prohibited area" in February 2025 because we posed in group photos outside the State Courts in solidarity with @jwham. It is likely that more people will be charged for this same "offence" soon 🙄

I also received a 12-month conditional warning for one alleged offence and stern warnings for three other alleged offences.

Our first court mention for this Public Order Act charge has been scheduled for 28 September, 10am, Court 4B at the State Courts.

#SimiSaiAlsoAssembly This group photo was taken in February 2025 after one of Jolovan Wham’s court mentions for Public Order Act charges relating to vigils for death row prisoners facing execution. This morning, I was charged under the Public Order Act for “taking part in a public assembly within a prohibited area”. Three friends were also charged today, with more likely to come over the next week or so. Because we took photos together. by @neosweelin
