Yeah, we are at that time of the year again, huh? Time flies by. FAST. My 3rd year doing these little pieces on my tablet (mostly) already...
Anyways, I guess we all have our own opinion on 2025, but I really do think we have moved to the wrong direction quite some time ago and we continue going deeper to this rabbit hole. We are even more divided, angry, violent and STUPID... even if some pretend it's the other way around. Well, it isn't and I could keep on going for hours about this. Wonder where is that bottom so we could bounce back up, because this can not continue for much longer.

Personally - I have kept working on my skills, even though it doesn't feel like I've improved much, if any. Maybe I'm just tired of all the bullshit? At least I can be quite persistent.

Financially it's not too bad of a year for me, but it's not because of my art - I didn't earn practically anything as ugly AI slop is taking over... Thing is - a few commissions here and there is all I need, it's still just a hobby, but seeing all these billion dollar companies uglifying everything and doing that openly ILLEGALLY just drives me crazy.

Moving on - I am still working out, still trying to be at my peak even if I finally started feeling my age... But Saiyans don't give up so here I am lol

Oh yeah there is one new hobby - miniature painting! Have posted some pictures and will post a few more for sure. It's somewhat different but still familiar to me. A fresh take on painting for me.

Okay, let's stop here and just... hope for a better year overall. We really do need that.

Ahhh yes, 2024, year of wars (still), bots, scams, sick agendas, gaming and cinema disasters, A.I. and other trash... Nobody knows nothing and everyone is trying to sell that to you. Social media is a broken mess unless you pay a nice amount. Then you attract some more bots and 1 out of 15 of them is actually a real person who will interact with you 2 times in total if you're lucky! You are screwed, they are screwed - everyone is screwed! Full disclosure - I have earned less than 1k from my art this year (not a typo. Good thing I actually have a job lol) and I care less and less about that! You know what? All I care about is my skill development, sharing an idea here and there, and being fully ready if the opportunity comes. If it doesn't? So be it, worrying about that changes nothing! So if you are someone like me - fu*k it! You do you. Be original, be authentic, be honest, be real, be yourself. Do not be a slave and hold your head up. HAVE SOME FU*KING PRIDE (that shit is lost in many of you)! If you get lucky - awesome, if you don't - at least you do what you like, isn't it? A time wasted enjoying something is not a time wasted after all.

Sharing a collection of some stuff I am proud of and trying my luck without censoring anything :D Somehow, last years post is more pleasing to an eye, even if technically I have improved but hey, it is what it is :D

This is the last post of the year. 2023... yeaaahhh...
Looking back? I have improved A LOT. From paper sketchbook pages to full color digital artworks and even more! Been consistent as never before as well. Here I'm sharing just a few of my favorites and it feels weird, because there are more than 8 I would like to include! Good thing 8 is my number... :)))
When it comes to instagram growth and post engagement - the year was a total dumpster fire and it feels like unless I actually start twerking naked I will not be pushed by instagram at all. And you know what? I don't even care anymore. All I care about is my personal growth and looking back - I am happy.
Lets face new challenges this new upcoming year with our head held up and lets hope that the world will start spinning in the right direction again, because, well, you know...

Currently in the thick of Book 2 edits, but still alive and kicking.

Here is a work-in-progress scene artwork for The Vāyilian Threads: Book Two, compliments of @neranu8

It is still incomplete, with more work to come before the characters are added, but it gives a first glimpse at one of the scenes shaping the next part of the story.

Book Two: Princeling is coming 2027.

No idea how to take pictures of these models. It's seemingly impossible to take fully focused pictures of these guys :D
In any case - quite proud of this one. Painted less then a 10 of these models (or anything in general) and for a complete noob (yeah, I do artworks, but this is DIFFERENT) this one is pretty damn good, isn't it? :D

Have not posted much lately, but there is a reason for that! Working on a bigger project for some time now. Will post some bits soon enough!

Hey.

Time for some ranting. Better strap up!
This is a piece I made in response to games workshop release and push of female Custodes. Not even gonna comment on that piss poor article and explanation they gave us (until I will!).
Some people say it doesn't matter, it's inclusion, it's... SHUT UP with these corporate standard braindead phrases, okay? We know what's being done and this shit is in every franchise. We can see, we can SMELL the gender politics and we know who finance it. NO, females and males are not equal. NO, we are not the same. NO, you are not doing this for female representation - you have this in your game and lore already (and people love them!) but you neglect it BY DESIGN yourselves, because those factions are weaker than some male only factions by lore, and you can't stand it. You hate it. You can't stand your own fan base who build this shit in the first place. Or you are paid to do so. Realistically both.
We don't want all the franchises to be the same faceless slop of whatever you all push. We want rich, unique wolds! LORE SELLS YOUR PLASTIC TOYS. Nothing else. And when you say, that you pick noble girls when there is a lack of males (in trilions of worlds of the empire by the way) and just make them as good of a supersoldiers as males (instead of jus making better male soldiers if you have this technology??) by actively ruining your own universes reproduction (no, men can't get pregnant) what the fuck are we talking about? Do you really think we are that dumb? Do you realy think, that saying "it has always been this way" is a good explanation to decades of lore change and logic within your own universe? And it doesn't even expand the lore, which would be fine. You dumb it down and you push and push and push the SAME TIRED BULLSHIT. Fuck, guys, it's time to stop the madness.
I could go on and on but this is clearly enough to show what stance I take.

Hey!
So I did another book cover!
Don't have the full info, but I've got quite a bit. A short synapsis would be:

"Written in the pulp style and tradition of Robert E. Howard, The Spearslayer Sagas follow Dar, the last of the annihilated Spearslayer Sect, as he seeks to find his family. He is haunted by loss and hunted as an outlaw but remains driven by the strict Spearslayer code of honor as his moral core.
The 10 sequential short stories in this collection chronicle Dar’s relentless quest across a brutal landscape of scheming sorcerers, treacherous kings, foul monsters and forgotten Gods. Forging an unlikely friendship with a giant Kalan warrior, Sinie Haverts, Dar searches for answers and redemption across the Najar region. "

I kept it quite minimal as requested, and also did it in quite traditional looking sword and sorcery style. Just a bit more tame.

Will post the final info in the future :)
