A year ago, I was mesmerized by a post that @noblu shared of the performance by @aware.musica at @goatcommunity.pt and I knew then that I needed to get to Portugal to see them. Limited to only 2500 people across 67 countries, it was almost impossible to get a ticket.
Fast forward to @afrikaburn this year, and this angel fairy @tessatequila comes out of no where and generously made a plan to get me a ticket. Synchronicity at play, and meant to be!

@goatcommunity.pt is without doubt one of the best musical and theatrical experiences I have ever seen. The mix of live performances and world class DJs, combined with a similar burn energy, culture, connection, love and people made this adventure truly world class.

Although I went on my own, I left with 20 new friends and plugged into a global community.

Sometimes leaning outside of your comfort can bring you so much richness, joy and healing in life.

Alex, my biggest love, what a journey we’ve walked together. and now, with the deepest love and gratitude, we’re being asked to release each other so we can continue our paths individually - at least for now. it’s unbearably hard to let go of something that still feels so right.

you’ve been my partner & my home for 11.5 years. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am to have been loved by you. you truly are the love of my life, my best friend, the one who has seen every version of me and continued to love me even deeper. unconditionally. you are the kindest human i have ever met. an angel in physical form.

but now, something inside me is guiding me inward - toward truly finding home within myself. toward discovering the unconditional love that lives inside me. toward becoming even more whole. I’m longing to explore the untouched landscapes within me, because I’ve never been alone, never lived alone, always moved through life in partnership. I need to meet myself without looking through someone else’s lens - no matter how incredible that person is. you.

this is a journey into my independence. my truth. my deepest freedom. somehow, this feels like the most beautiful breakup in the world. this must be what conscious uncoupling truly means, because all I feel toward you is respect, gratitude & love. our ceremony, the way we honored our relationship, was one of the most beautiful evenings of my life. it felt like us. two Pisces crying & laughing in eachothers arms - a knowing that our love is simply shape-shifting. you will always be a part of me.
