First the rebrand and then the return 💪🏾 #afterthecredits #loscinema #medianerd #movienerd #movienight by @nerd_no__jutsu

A dying game but fun nonetheless. Just still perfecting builds after The Monument of Triumph update in July. Since the game is in a permanent, any armor weapons, play styles etc. will never be subject to be altered. This particular setup is just fast paced, fire damage and high ability regen with the Praxic blade (aka) lightsaber. It’s a high damage crowd control build. #Destiny2 by @nerd_no__jutsu

It’s been a while since I posted any kind of review but I felt compelled so let’s just dive in head first here. Supergirl was a an adaptation story based on the 8 chapter Woman of Tomorrow story written by Tom King. It was an adventure told through the narration of an elderly woman about an adventure that spanned months across many planets with Supergirl. It’s a story that made you understand so many of the qualities Supergirl possessed at that stage in her life from patience, kindness, empathy, and fierce will. All being witnessed by a character from a small backwater planet Supergirl only visited in order to celebrate her 21st birthday under a red sun and be able to feel the effects of alcohol. It was a well paced, beautifully colored comic that presented Supergirl as a this stoic, compassionate, force of nature with a gentle touch because she’ carries with her the memories and pain of carrying the loss of an entire people.

What we got as a film was a 72 hour story, not narrated through Ruthey’s elderly point of view, with not so great music choices, a drab color palette, 3 radically changed key characters that would rather keep a pseudo punk rock identity rather than take a prime opportunity to show you why Supergirl is truly not just this young counterpart to Superman. She’s a tragic character who forged herself into a beacon of good despite constantly living with what she loss. The script writer Ana Nogueira removed the heart of what this story was and replaced it with husk of a story. Krem’s perception of life and how he viewed people was far more powerful than he was a powerful character in the comics but he was reduced down to muscle with little dialogue. A Jason Mamoa Lobo and a few decently choreographed fights couldn’t save this film from ringing hollow. James Gunn talked about solid scripts and signed off on fluff with bad dialogue and bad creative changes to the original story. It was just okay, there’s a lot bad, a couple things good for a film that should’ve made you welcome more. Ana Nogueira will be writing Wonder Woman as well and I’ll find a hard time supporting any more of her work. #supergirl #supergirlmovie #jamesgunn #dcu by @nerd_no__jutsu

Another day at work. I been incredibly slim on content outside my stories. Life has been lifin and I been out of focus. I’ll start to ramp up the process to make this easier for me again. Much like the muscles I’ve had to regain in the gym, the creativity muscles need some work to. 🖖🏾 by @nerd_no__jutsu

A reason I’ve always enjoyed the art of storytelling. It’s a window that looks upon a street, cast with so many unique and nuanced characters.
It’s been a life of crash courses that gave me insight to so many people I’ve actually met and it gave me the patience to understand their stories.
Understanding doesn’t always lead to sympathizing for me but I think characters like these whom I’ve absorbed most my life also taught me my options for engaging people and meeting them where they are. by @nerd_no__jutsu

He never become some larger than life star in the grand scope but James Van Der Beek carved out a place for himself in pop culture that is concrete. I think his sincerity is what always ringed true in his roles in whatever he played not unlike who he showed you he was in his everyday life. #ripjamesvanderbeek by @nerd_no__jutsu

New additions. Invested in a Hall effect controller because I was tired of stick drift and added a Wano arc Luffy because my display is still more comic than anime heavy. by @nerd_no__jutsu

In the spirit of Halloween I thought I’d list my current top 10 horror films. Some of these are universally loved and some kinda struck me in a way that were just special pieces of cinema. There are so many other honorable mentions like Alien, 13 Ghost, Halloween but this is for my subjective enjoyment. #happyhalloween #favoritehorrormovie by @nerd_no__jutsu
