#lordsofwaterdeep is one of my favourite #eurogames after all these years. I first saw it on @itswilwheaton #tabletop and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to play it. So imagine how quickly I acted when people in my #gaminggroup expressed a desire to have a go… very next #gamesnight it was on, and it was good. What games do you want to see hit the table more often?

Got to run the goblins in a game of #vastthecrystalcaverns and I came close. It was my first game and I was one turn away from winning. Sadly, Sam (eying off my my goblins) managed to collapse the cavern on us through some clever play!

Games night learning #sleepinggods from @redravengames - it’s a scaled down version of #7thcontinent with a very Ryan Lauket feel and his story telling mechanic he uses in Above and Below and other games. The game is good. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as 7th Continent, but I would say it’s much lighter and that could be to its benefit. I think it brings the feel of a bigger game with the advantage of a well tested and known story telling mechanic. For my own game night I would go 7th Continent, but if I wanted to introduce new people to bigger games, this would be a go to. Understand, 7th Continent is my favourite #cooperativegame and now this is a close second. This is a solid recommend. Plus I got to play it with some of my favourite people and that made all the difference. @boardgamegran

Our games night split into two tables, table 1 tried out #lostcitiesrivals a four player version of the #lostcities card game. I was a bit jealous as #reinerknizia is a favourite designer of mine. They said it was faithful to the original and worth the play. So I’m excited to give it a try. Anyone else played this one yet?
