We are honored to be featured in The New York Times with this residence at 152 Elizabeth Street in New York, designed by @gabellinisheppard within the iconic building by @tadao_ando_architecture and developed by @sumaidakhurana.

At the heart of the project is our NP4 Sliding Top island, crafted in smoked eucalyptus and Bronze Amani marble. With a simple movement, the sliding countertop reveals a fully equipped workspace before disappearing back into a clean monolithic form.

More than a kitchen, it is a sculptural element designed to blend seamlessly into the architecture of the home.

Our NP4 island, a project that perfectly represents Nero Cucine’s vision of transforming the kitchen into architecture.

Crafted in Giorgio Orobico stone, the NP4 features our proprietary Sliding Top mechanism, revealing a stainless steel workspace with a welded sink and integrated induction cooktop when needed, then disappearing seamlessly back into a monolithic volume.

A kitchen designed to appear only when it serves a purpose.

In some homes, the kitchen has become a stage. Sinks, appliances, and storage disappear behind seamless surfaces, while the space itself takes on a new role—one centered on gathering, entertaining, and everyday living.

Our kitchen design collaboration with Nero Cucine is featured in a recent the New York Times article exploring the evolution of luxury kitchens.

The NU kitchen balances minimalist forms with sophisticated engineering, concealing functionality within a monolithic stone island and allowing materiality, craftsmanship, and experience to take center stage.
