The concept of spiritual parents has often been misunderstood, distorted, or reduced to control tactics. But when we look at the New Testament, we see a beautiful, sacrificial, and Christ-centered model of leadership and nurture.

Paul didn’t view the early believers merely as an audience; he related to them as a father (1 Cor. 4:15) and cared for them like a nursing mother (1 Thess. 2:7).

Here is what every believer needs to remember about spiritual parenting:

They are fathers and mothers, not mediators. They don't stand between you and God. Christ alone holds that place.

They reproduce Christ in you, not themselves. Their assignment is not to gather fans or control your choices, but to travail until Christ is formed in your character (Gal. 4:19).

They correct with a father's heart. True leadership warns without humiliating, guides without dominating, and loves without conditions.

Discipleship requires an open, teachable posture. A coach cannot train an athlete who refuses instruction.

Who has God placed in your life to guide, teach, and pray over you? Take a moment to honor them today.

Leaving home at 14 to move to a completely new country—with no family waiting for me on the other side—was easily the scariest thing I’ve ever done. ✈️🥺

But God...😭❤️❤️

Today, while pacing around my room and revising for my last school exam, I caught my reflection in the mirror. It felt so surreal looking at how much has changed.

Right then, I got a gentle nudge to look back at my old #prayer #journal. Flipping through those pages, tears just started rolling.

Seeing prayers from years ago answered in ways I couldn't have even imagined—not just for myself and my family, but for my friends and theirs who also became family—is the ultimate proof of how God has been so incredibly faithful.

He’s been minding my #business ,protecting, and guiding my steps from the very start. 📖✨

🔥 If you’re in a scary #transition or feeling alone right now, let this be your reminder: He sees you. He has always had you. He doesn't miss a single detail of your life. Trust Him with your story, because He is always working behind the scenes. 🙏🏽🤍

Forever grateful for His faithfulness. 🙌🏽
