You have been my home for the last 10 years…. The longest I’ve ever spent in one spot outside of my childhood home….

Through the ups and downs…
Through the good times and bad…..

6 different amazing people that I was lucky enough to share a home with and all the awesome friends I’ve made along the way in that time.

I will never forget this place and what it meant to me and so many others.

It will always hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.

Shout out to @conor.gallivan @jsokool25 @_alexmaule @lifeguardlol @zacjaxon for makin this place as awesome as it was over the years.

Couldn’t have done anything this week without @hahaitzchris @djspiezio and @steve for helping w the move … you dudes are absolute legends and I owe you one no questions asked.

Fifteen years working on Lansdowne Street taught me one thing: the room starts talking long before the first track drops....

You have to watch who's lining up outside, who's coming from the Sox game, who's having the night of their lives after singing their hearts out at a concert, college kids back for the semester ready to party or anyone who's just looking for one good night—because if you don't read the crowd before you even walk into the venue, you're already a step behind.

Every night on this block is different, and the DJs who last are the ones who read the crowd in and outside of the venue and can adjust accordingly instead of forcing the same set.

The best nights don't start with the first song—they start with paying attention before you even walk in...

You know, after all these years of playing on Lansdowne Street and one thing never gets old... a crowd that shows up and is willing to trust you...

The best nights aren't about playing every song people ask for right away. They're the ones where everyone lets you build something, switch up the energy, surprise them a little, and then when THAT track finally drops, the place goes off.

That's the payoff every time.

This past Tuesday is one night I'll always remember. The @rufusdusol after party @billsbarboston absolutely crushed it. Easily one of the best crowds I've ever had.

You guys trusted me from start to finish, brought insane energy all night, and reminded me why I still love doing this after all these years.

One thing people completely underestimate about DJing is the skill of handling requests.

Some DJs says they don't take requests.

Every DJ who's been responsible for keeping a bar full and having a good time understands that requests are part of the job.

I'm not talking about blindly playing every song somebody asks for.

I'm talking about reading the room, hearing a request, and instantly deciding whether it helps the next 15 minutes of the night.

That's a skill that only comes from thousands of hours behind the decks.

Anybody can plan a perfect set in their bedroom.

It's a lot harder when you've got:

-A bachelorette party wanting early-2000s hip-hop
-A group of college kids wanting the newest viral track
-Red Sox fans looking for singalongs
-A manager watching bar sales
-A packed dance floor with three different age groups

...all standing in the same room.

The request itself isn't the challenge.

The challenge is figuring out how that request fits into the energy of the room.

Sometimes the song they're asking for doesn't fit the vibe, sometimes it does.

But the reason they're asking for it is valuable information. It's real-time feedback. A request tells me what at least part of the crowd wants more of.

The best DJs don't just play music. They gather information and make decisions... while keeping the party going.

I've had nights where somebody requested a song I never would have considered playing. On paper it made no sense.

But the room was ready for it.

I dropped it...

And the place went off.

That's not luck. That's experience.
