Choose carefully where you post your letters - avoid the rubbish bin! 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary A line up of a red parcel and franked mail post box, a black rubbish bin, and a Type C red double aperture pillar box. They are outside a Royal Mail Delivery Office. Above the Type C pillar box is a sign that says, 'Post Boxes'. by @ness_charles

Royal Mail should have installed these first before chopping up perfectly fine pillar boxes. I doubt these will be around in 60+ years. At least we still have something to post out letters in. 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary New style red Royal Mail combined parcel and letter posting box. For parcels there is a pull down handle to put the parcel in. Underneath is an aperture for letters. by @ness_charles

How long will this little set up be around? It's a post office situated upstairs in a TG Jones complete with self service units, parcel and post boxes plus a counter with staff. Many towns will soon be without a post office. 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary In store post office set up with three self service tills with scales and payment screens. To the side, up against the wall is a slim three box arrangement of indoor posting boxes. by @ness_charles

A rarely seen 1pm and 11.15am collection time. This is on Holy Island so really the collection time is when the tide allows access to the island! 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary Red lamp box on a black pedestal. The metal plate under the aperture shows the crown and cypher for Elizabeth II. The collection plate shows the collection time for Monday to Friday to be 1pm and 11.15am on Saturday. by @ness_charles

Post boxes in Berlin don't have much variety but there are two post delivery services. The yellow boxes are those of Deutsche Post and green pillar box is PIN Mail. 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary The corner of a building with a pharmacy inside. At right angles to each other are two yellow posting boxes both with two apertures. They are held up by two metal posts. Slightly around the corner is a bright green rectangular pillar box. All the boxes are covered in graffiti. by @ness_charles

Of course I went on holiday to the home of the first postal museum in the world! Now known as The Museum for Communication Berlin, it originally opened in 1872. #postboxsaturday

I'm not saying it has been dry around these parts but even the weeds at the base of the pillar box have frazzled. 📮 #postboxsaturday #PostBoxDiary Red George V pillar box with frazzled, yellow weeds growing out of the base. by @ness_charles
