8 months into this and we don’t know if it’s more fun to have big brothers or to be the big brothers! ❤️❤️

Things Sagelynn dislikes:
1. The word “no”
2. Being tired or hungry
3. Mommy walking away and not picking her up and carrying her along (even though I was enjoying my toys until I realized mommy left me with them).
4. Being expected to crawl for things….hand them me peasant!
5. Sitting in the high chair without foods going in my mouth
6. When my brothers don’t let me have their toys (even though I have my own)
7. Holding my own bottle…that’s why God gave my mommy her hands to hold my bottle
8. Leaving grandmas house!!

Things Sagelynn likes:
1. My brothers
2. Daddy’s beard
3. Bath time
4. Milk
5. Freedom to explore with my limited crawling skills
6. Pulling hair (or beards or arm hair)
7. Chewing on everything
8. Clapping my hands

Things Sagelynn Loves:
1. My mommy
2. My guys
3. Eating all the foods…milk okay, loves the foods
4. Snuggles
5. When my brothers hop like frogs to make me laugh
6. Laughing and tickles and more giggles
7. Being pushed in my stroller
8. Being called “who’s a pretty baby….” And “peekaboo I found you.” Thought my name was peanut but I answer to those too!

She sits, she’s trying to crawl, she claps, she waves, and she laughs. She’s interactive and such a happy baby. It’s been a delight to have her as a part of this family! by @nessakayder

Even if I could have picked, I couldn't have chosen a better big brother than you.

In the car today, Sterling said, “hey mom, ask me who my best friend is.”
Me: “Okay bud, who’s your best friend!”
Sterling: “friends name”
Stetson: “Guess who my best friend is mom!”
Me: *waiting*
Me: *still waiting*
Stetson: “my best friend is….”
Long pause….
Stetson: “My best friend is Sterling Mimi!”
Sterling: “I can’t be your best friend. You’re my always brother.”
Me: *melting into a big pile of goop* “Stetson, I think it’s really special that your brother is best friend. That’s exactly the way God made it!”

The best of friends and the worst of enemies. And the 19 months between them sometimes seems so much closer! ❤️❤️ by @nessakayder

7 incredibly beautiful months of having such a sweet baby girl to complete our family! I’m just in awe of how amazing it’s been having a little girl (considering how hard I prayed for another boy)! God knew we needed you peanut!

Dislikes:
1. Waiting for food
2. Being tired
3. Anybody eating and not sharing
4. When the chewy toys don’t chew exactly the way I want them too
5. Not seeing my mommy
6. Stuffing me back in the car seat after you dare to take me out
7. Nothing else…I’m a very happy and content baby

Likes:
1. All the foods! Yum!
2. Bath time so fun!
3. My brothers are the funniest guys I know
4. Daddy’s beard is pretty great stuff
5. Mommy snuggle me
6. Playing and chewing all the time
7. Being on my tummy so I can scoot everywhere I wants to go

So far I can:
1. Spit and blow raspberries
2. Roll over any which way
3. Sit up unsupported but I’m still tippy
4. Pinch really hard
5. Pull mommy’s hair if it’s in reach
6. Steal the spoon
7. Reach all the things and knock them over by @nessakayder

Such. A. Good. Day.
I was really proud of my oldest. He tried everything and faced some rides and games that he thought might be too much for him. It just struck me how thankful I am that my kids have such a brave daddy. That God gave us this incredible man who loves to have fun and is completely unafraid of anything. And he makes them brave. Like all the fear and anxiety I’ve fought against my entire life came to head in this entire moment today when I watched my son be brave because his daddy made him brave (because God gave us a daddy who is brave). When he had joy and all kinds of delight because he could face his fears knowing his daddy wouldn’t let anything bad happen to him. So my boys could enjoy a beautiful (and hot day) doing something really special while mommy kept track of everybody and gave so many thumbs up signs, blew (and caught lots of kisses), all the waves, and made sure everyone drank enough water. Because God saw this broken worrying girl and gave her a man who pushes her to the edge of her abilities to trust and stay calm, and helped her learn to lean on the Lord and His strength in all the beautiful moments. So much thankfulness. So much joy. So much fun. by @nessakayder

Our sweet baby girl to experience her first combine ride. It was also our first family of five ride. And praise the Lord, but we got to experience it cutting our own wheat! We don’t deserve these blessings but we have so much gratitude that we received them! It’s been a good day!
Also a bonus picture of the princess in the pinkest, prettiest, frilliest, girliest dress she owns…and she looks like she was born to wear it. It was a lot of dress for such a little girl but she looked so cute!! by @nessakayder

Welp….I tried…we tried explaining what Memorial Day is and why we were proud to wear our American flag shirts everyday, but especially today. We have some more explaining to do. But it was a great day but at the end of all great days the littles fall apart…

Sagelynn Grace is 4 months old. Her brothers adore her. She’s grandma’s little peanut. And this week she became best friends with daddy. She has started giggling and holding herself up. And if she’s on her tummy she’s trying to roll. She’s grown a lot and is a bit longer than a pillow and jumped clothes and diapers sizes. A major bonus is that she sleeps through the night and mommy is totally okay with that. She is a wonderful baby!!

Things she dislikes:
1. Being bothered
2. Being hungry
3. Being scared or pestered by her brothers
4. Daddy’s beard tickles

Things she tolerates:
1. Bathtime
2. Car seat time
3. Napping other places besides on mommy
4. Tummy time

Things she loves:
1. Milk
2. Snuggles
3. Smiling and tickles
4. Watching the fire, lights, fans, or her purple singing monkey

Ummmm…dis house have unlimited kisses for me. Buts I wish dey has less few kisses for me. Cept mommy. She’s my favoritest person in da whole wide world. And she take good much care of me. So she can gimme all dem kisses. And she says I cute and I a “pwetty girl.” And den she put da itchy hat on me dis morning to keep my ears warm…turns out I cute in dats one too. She finks I should be a baby “card-hearts” model. I dunno what dat means cept it have do wif how cutes I am! 🩷 by @nessakayder

All of our “kids came home” and had steak and eggs for breakfast this morning. It has been a weekend that I will treasure in my heart and carry with me for years to come. The anniversary party for Lyle was incredible. It was such a joy to honor such a great man! And then to spend time with guys from crews past was an added blessing to an already blessing overloaded weekend! The drama queen is 3 months old and weighs just over 11 pounds. She fits into this family so well and makes her presence known. This is evident in the pictures when you see them start with her screaming, then her big brother tickles her and talks to her, then she starts to smile.

Things she doesn’t like:
1. Being hungry
2. Being cold
3. Being sick
4. Being pestered by brothers
5. Touching daddy’s beard

3. Being held by someone whose not mommy
