Today, millions of people from every borough, every background, and every walk of life moved as one.

The championship was the excuse. 🏆

The people were the story.

A reminder that collective energy is real.

👀 October 2023 #TBT ⚠️

🤔 Been doing a lil mid-summer studio reset… cleaning, organizing, playing old projects… and I threw on our ‘The Price of Bread’ LP for the first time in a minute.
Man listen…
I forgot how much I like this record. At one point I caught myself staring off into the distance like… damn… we really pulled this one off lol. 🤷🏾‍♂️

It was made during a time when I was personally going through alot lot (RIP my Big Bro John. 🙏🏾❤️) Listening back now… I can hear it.

I also hear what happens when you lean on community.

I had to call on some of my favorite artists and people from our corner of the world & from across the pond to help pull this one together, alongside my brother in all things TSDW, legendary Derby, UK producer @BabyJbiz

Looking back… this might’ve been the most collaborative project we’ve ever made. Rappers, singers, poets, family, friends… everybody brought a piece of themselves to this record and made it bigger than us.

Nothing but gratitude to everybody who helped bring this album to life. ❤️🖤💚

🤔 If you missed the first W.I.P. Sessions of the season, these are just little peeks behind the curtain while I finish this project.

No polish. No finished product. Just documenting the work. 📹

Today’s notebook session is from a joint I’m tentatively calling “Point Your Finger.” (Yeah… I accidentally said “Point Your Fingers” in the video 😂.) (think Scarface Tony in that scene in the restaurant towards the end of the movie iykyk)

Different energy than the last idea, “You Are Not Alone” from the other day…. wayyyy different actually lol 🤷🏾‍♂️

This one’s a little more confrontational.

It’s about that resistance you feel from people… dique “haters,” the powers that be, the system… whoever, whatever. Anytime you’re trying to move forward in this life and make a way for you & yours… and basically refusing to fold….that “naw fvck that & fvck them” energy. know what im talmbout? 🤨😒

Maybe it’s the North Philly in me.
Maybe it’s just how I was raised.

Either way… mama ain’t raise no sucka…Sooo here you go. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Still just an idea. Still writing. Still discovering what it’s trying to become.
