We're proud to announce the release of our latest paper, "The Blueprint for Equitable Digital Participation," from @public_knowledge Broadband Policy Director Alisa Valentin and @weareunidosus Senior Civil Rights Policy Advisor Claudia Ruiz, in collaboration with @netinclusion!

This paper explores the findings from seven community-level focus groups conducted across the United States, as well as a nationwide survey, in order to gain a ground-truthed understanding of the #digitaldivide and its impacts on individuals and families across the country. Happy 2026! We are pleased to share NDIA’s Impact Report, which reflects how our organization and community have continued advancing #digitalequity amid major shifts in funding, policy, and the broader landscape.

The report highlights NDIA’s work over the past two years to defend and strengthen the field, fill critical gaps through new tools and working groups, and support local digital inclusion practitioners through training, advocacy, convening, and shared resources.

“NDIA is taking the extraordinary step of suing the federal government for the 30,000 people who were counting on our Digital Navigator + program to help guide them through submitting job applications, accessing telehealth, attending classes, and staying safe online,” said Angela Siefer, executive director of NDIA. “Thousands more across the country stood to benefit from Digital Equity Act grants through other trusted community organizations. Let’s be very clear, the Digital Equity Act is not unconstitutional nor racist, it passed with overwhelming bipartisan support to ensure the United States can compete in today’s modern economy.”
