Forging into the next arena. Go big & Come Home. This is what you get for being surrounded by shamans. (What a field) As I broke down, I was asked: ✷ What is your full truth? Who are you beneath all the ways you’ve learned to become palatable? Putting this question into practice can be excruciating work. We’re talking intergenerational, ancestral, subterranean conditioning. The deeply ingrained ideas of security, responsibility, and conformity that can come into conflict with our sense of purpose, authenticity, and sincerity. And the difficult realization that what we’ve been taught to believe is right for us may not always be true to who we are. Breaking those chains is no small feat. And perhaps it’s necessary, layer by layer, if we are to truly experience fulfillment in this existence. Two weeks ago, during a shamanic ceremony honoring the Great Bear, I was blessed with a profound encounter with the spirit of the crane. It was like nothing I have ever felt or experienced. No cap. In Taoist traditions, the crane is associated with immortality and the passage between earthly and celestial realms (the chiffon of consciousness). A creature equally at home on land, in water, and in the sky. A beautiful metaphor for inhabiting multidimensionality. It does not question whether it belongs more to one realm than another. It simply exists in each fully, because that is its nature. Here’s to honoring the great crane, while also experimenting with Midjourney and a few other AI tools. Shoutout to my brother @mariustroy for the inspiration. AND SO I AM. AND SO IT IS. 𓅿𓆃 #art #ai #spirit #byebyeblacksheep #hellobigbird by @nette.neue

Last night, led by @peacemaker_alexandervonhausen, we quietly gathered and walked deep into the woods of Grunewald to honor those who came before us. While others prepared to dance amongst goblins and ghouls, we found ourselves beneath the trees, gathered around a fire, in remembrance of our ancestors. Samhain marks a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is believed to be at its thinnest. But beyond this, it is a reminder that we are each part of something far greater than ourselves. We are the culmination of countless generations that came before us. And while we may carry their pain, we also carry their strength, their wisdom, and the lives they lived that made our own possible. At the heart of many Indigenous and shamanic traditions is an understanding of spiritual ecology: that we exist in relationship not only with ourselves, one another, and the natural world, but also with the unseen. These relationships are sustained through reciprocity. And while rituals like these create intentional space to honor those relationships, the deeper invitation is to carry this awareness into our everyday lives. Our deepest gratitude to everyone who gathered with us last night, for the stories shared, the offerings made, and the space we held together. And a particularly deep thank you to @peacemaker_alexandervonhausen for guiding us through the forest and holding us through this beautiful journey of remembrance, connection, and offering. In times of uncertainty, upheaval, and change, a reminder of how important it is to create these pockets of peace. Spaces where we can remember, reconnect, and be together in unity. 🤍🔥🪶🪾 #Samhain #Ancestors #Shamanism #Berlin by @nette.neue
SAMHAIN A Ceremony to Honor & Connect with Our Ancestors As autumn deepens and nature turns inward, we gather in the forest at a time when the veil between the living and spirit worlds is believed to be at its thinnest. Our connection with our ancestors is vital, not only to understanding where we come from, but also to nurturing a relationship with those who came before us. Whether our parents, grandparents, or generations further back, honoring them creates the possibility for healing, reciprocity, and inviting their guidance and support from the other side. In many shamanic traditions, maintaining this relationship is considered an essential part of a healthy spiritual life. Through storytelling, offerings to the land and our ancestors, and traditional Siberian shamanic ceremonies of offering and fire, we will create space for remembrance, gratitude, and deeper connection with ourselves and those who came before us. Rewildin. A serious love affair. #moss Home. Didn’t trip. small window into the weekend, as I barely documented any of it. Here, the shamans are preparing for kamlanie, a shamanic ceremony involving fire. I had the privilege of holding the drum of one of my elders, Torsten, as he prepared for the ceremony. In this Siberian shamanic lineage, as in many other shamanic traditions, a drum isn’t just an instrument. It’s understood as a being with a spirit of its own. The relationship between a shaman and their drum is one of profound reverence, care, and responsibility. The two go hand in hand. Even being entrusted to hold or play another shaman’s drum is an expression of deep trust. The drum itself is understood as a representation of the cosmos, encompassing the upper and lower worlds, light and shadow, and different realms of consciousness. The upper part of the drum is associated with lighter energies, while the lower part is associated with darker, heavier forces. To work with these energies, particularly those of the lower realms, requires knowledge, discernment, and an understanding of the responsibility one carries. Because this work is not simply about invoking energies. It’s about knowing how to work with them, and understanding the consequences of doing so. And I know I’ve been banging on about this for a while now (pun intended), but the more time I spend learning from these elders, the more I realise just how many people are carrying drums without necessarily understanding the responsibility that comes with them. Most people you see with a drum really shouldn’t have one. Fini ⛓️‍💥🥚 Liudmila, Misiek and Me. Paligenesis. by @nette.neue
How can I create peace if I don’t have peace within myself? Emerging out of a weekend deep in shamanic seminar, like many of I have been reflecting on the essence of peace. If we’re truly honest with ourselves, how many of us are actually at peace? We all carry conflicts within us. Some inherited through generations, others formed in childhood, through our relationships, our environments, and the ways we learned to survive. Conflicts between who we are and who we were taught to be. Between what we feel and what we allow ourselves to acknowledge. And so much of this remains unexamined. External circumstances are real. Oppression, violence, genocide, and systemic injustice cannot be resolved through introspection. Resistance is sometimes not only necessary, but an act of survival, dignity, and the refusal to surrender our humanity. But beneath our collective pursuit of peace, I keep returning to another question: Where does the conflict within me begin, and how might I be unconsciously perpetuating it? What we refuse to confront does not simply disappear. Unresolved wounds, fears, and resentments can become the unconscious architects of our choices, shaping how we perceive ourselves, others, and the world. Our suffering deserves acknowledgment. But when our pain becomes the main lens through which we understand our lives, without enough room for healthy self-examination or accountability, we risk becoming trapped in cycles of blame, reinforcing the very conflicts we wish to resolve. Perhaps one of the more courageous things we can do is turn toward what we have spent our lives avoiding because it feels too difficult or too painful to face. This weekend, I witnessed people in their seventies showing up with extraordinary vulnerability, confronting deeply rooted family patterns, and choosing to continue the practice of breaking cycles that had existed for generations. A reminder that this work can begin at any age, if we are willing. And I’m not speaking of the comfortable, marketable version of inner peace. Not another wellness ritual or momentary escape that allows us to feel better without addressing what lies beneath. I’m speaking of the difficult w by @nette.neue
Raw notes. Many of us are feeling it. A quick note in honor of the next few days. Shadow work is a great ceremony. Be brave. We do this work for our fulfillment, those before us, and those who will come after us. All will be revealed. #venusinretrograde #fullmoon #cazimi #shamanism by @nette.neue

What does it mean to be truly seen? And do we actually want to be seen? Or do we just want to be perceived? I’ve been thinking about the narratives we construct to make ourselves more palatable, more lovable, and the tension between protecting our inner worlds and allowing ourselves to be exposed in all our beautiful contradictions. Not everyone deserves access to every part of us. Vulnerability requires safety, care, and discernment. But at what point does the story we craft about who we are become the very thing that prevents us from experiencing real intimacy? #vulnerability #self #love #intimacy by @nette.neue
