🧴 Real Barrier Extreme Cream
Goes on silky, feels luxe at first—but within two hours, it turns into an oily film, even on my driest spots. I usually end up wiping it off. I can’t say if it actually helps the skin barrier, but if your skin’s sensitive, the essential oils and extracts might do the opposite. I miss when K-beauty formulas focused on function over trend.

🧂 Real Barrier Extreme Panthenol Toner Pads
Too much product in these pads. I’d rather have this in a tube or bottle. Still, between the two, this one’s the winner. It’s soothing and wearable on its own or under a light layer of moisturizer on no-makeup days.

Parnell Cicamanu Serum Cushion Foundation SPF 45 PA++

I generally love cushion foundations, and this one is no exception in terms of that flawless, second-skin finish. Like most cushion formulas, it evens out redness, making my skin look naturally perfected without the need for concealer. I still need to test it more to decide how much I like—or love—it.

One thing I do appreciate is that it’s a close match to my skin tone. That said, the shade range definitely needs more depth for deeper melanin-rich skin tones. From what I’ve seen, shades 19-23 look almost identical, and shade 27 is only a few shades deeper than 19.

As for the skincare claims (soothing, smoothing texture, and brightening), those take time to show results, so I can’t speak on them yet. And while it has SPF 45, it's worth noting that cushion foundations don’t provide enough coverage to rely on them for sun protection—you’d need ¼ teaspoon of product for proper SPF, which isn’t realistic with a cushion compact.

For my combo skin, I still need to see how it holds up throughout the day in different conditions. What I didn’t love was how it felt over the Cicamanu 92 Serum—it never seemed to dry down and stayed wet until I washed it off. The cushion itself feels dry, which makes me wonder if it will dry out quickly. It also seems to oxidize, but I need to test that further.

This has a nice gel-like consistency and feels great on application, but unfortunately, I didn’t see any real benefits. If anything, my skin looked pinker after using it. Sadly, this one isn’t for me, and I wouldn’t repurchase it. 🥺

I have combination skin with fine lines and mild texture. I'm fair skin with neutral and cool undertone. I received this product for free from @go.picky @pickyrewards and @haruharuwonder_official in exchange for my honest review. These are my first impressions.

The Black Rice Triple AHA Gentle Cleansing Gel felt beautiful as I massaged it onto my skin. I love the consistency and would love to see this without the AHA. I'd also love to see a face moisturizer or serum with the AHA, which would be much more effective than a cleanser. You're essentially rinsing away the effects of the AHA, which misses the point of the active.

Does anyone know if all their cleansers feel this nice on the skin?

The Centella Sunflower Makeup-Melting Cleansing Balm is almost what I've been looking for! I LOVE that I can rinse if off! I still need to test it with my truly waterproof makeup. So far it's great at removing regular makeup with ease. I only wish it left my skin feeling moisturized after rinsing, instead of dry. That said, I could easily see myself repurchasing this!

Better than others I've tried

I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. These are my first impressions.

The hairs on my right eyebrow are pretty unruly. The NYX glue and ABH freeze are ineffective on that eyebrow.

However, the e.l.f. Laminating Brow Gel does hold a little better than the above. I do need to scrape off a lot of glue from the wand before applying or it won't hold at all. But it's not bad. I also find I need to apply my brow products before applying this glue or the hold is lost.

It would be nice if the brush wand were smaller and picked up less product to ensure better application and hold.

Give this a try if you have unruly brows. It might be what you're looking for (it might not).

Cute softening gloss

I received this product for free from Picky and Primera in exchange for my honest review. These are my first impressions.

I'm fair skin with neutral and cool undertone. I prefer color with a neutral undertone (on occasion with a cool undertone) in mid to deep shades. Eyeshadows in mid to deep blues, purples (not plum), greens, browns and greys. Lippies in brown with purple (not plum) undertone, vampy reds, muted purples and deep mauve and berries.

Pros:
Although I don't find it plumping, it does seem to leave my lips feeling softer. Plus it feels cushiony, which is nice. I like the way the silicon doe foot feels against my lips too. I also like that it lasts a while. Overall a decent formula.

Cons:
I don't find them plumping. You don't get enough product on the doe foot. I'm not sure if that's due to the doe foot or the bottle's neck. I also find as it's wearing off it gets that waxy, funky feeling, which I'm not a fan of. The Rosy shade leans peachy on me, which doesn't look good on my lips. I'd love to see shades like I mentioned above.

Best little cable and wire holders?

I received these Staples cable clips as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These are my first impressions.

My style is modern, industrial, coastal, Japandi and minimalist. I like a minimalist aesthetic with subtle splashes of color (generally in the blue family).

The design of these clips is simple and fits most desk aesthetics, which I like. The quality is great. They're small, discrete and modern. Installation is a breeze. You're able to fit about 4 cables into the clip with only one hole (depending on size), which is great. I appreciate the variety of clips as well.

My cable clips haven't moved at all since installation, but I might say that is also a slight con. Only because if I wanted to rethink the placement and move them, the adhesive wouldn't be the same. They're extremely stable. It would be great if they came with extra adhesive patches for that reason.

Otherwise they definitely work well and have kept my cable and wires in place. I'd recommend them, but please consider adding extra adhesives.

Kylie Cosmetics Power Plush Longwear Concealer

A little too yellow for my liking

I'm a sci-fi, tech, type and beauty geek. I prefer makeup, fragrance, fashion, tech and homegoods over skincare and it's hype. I have combination skin with fine lines. These are my first impressions.

I find this concealer (depending on the day) is a hit or miss. When it's a hit, it's quite nice. Similar to the new huda concealer. When it's a miss it reminds me of the Milk Makeup Concealer (a little pasty and creasy). Because of this (and that it's a bit too yellow), I find I don't reach for it as much as my others. That said, I'm still toying with it and should have a more formed opinion in a few months. Thank you for allowing me to try this Influenster and Kylie Cosmetics.

Cute shape, but not dense enough for me

I find it leaves streaks that I need to tap away. Other than that it's a cute concept and somewhat reaches areas I usually can't with a regular brush. I do wish the brush were denser and more of a skinny triangle shape.
