AKC Doberman looking for his forever home 🥎
Super incredible opportunity to own a nice male from one of our connections. Meliodas is great around children, house trained, and crate trained. He comes with his Canine Good Citizen, paperwork, age appropriate health screening, and a training guarantee from us at Neutral K9 - he's graduated our basic obedience program.

My dogs that work protection or sport are okay around kids. It's a huge misconception that protection dogs are not good around family. The sheer instinct of when a dog accepts a human or group of humans as part of itself is insane and crazy. I've seen Tali defend our property and I've also seen her around my baby nephews and nieces. It's truly incredible. by @neutralk9

When we think of improvement in dog training, the first things every client targets is behavior they want to stop.

Meanwhile, the actual issue remains untouched.

Your dog needs to like you for training to stick. That's why you see dogs do great with trainers and terrible back at home - dog training for the long term is much more than just telling a dog to stop it's behavior. For some reason, punishment is the primary component my clients comprehend about training in the first place. Not this. 🫡

Let's talk about source. There's a literal chemical reaction occurring when a dog wins toys, food, or even an interaction. Dopamine. It's a firecracker popping off inside the brain that leaves the dog addicted for more.

If we're letting the dog get it's dopamine primarily from sources other than ourselves, we can expect the dog will be automatically attracted to those sources.

While there are rules, there also needs to be fun. Doing these types of things with many small wins for a few minutes a day can majorly improve the relationship you have with your dog while you train them.

Interested in a board and train or one-on-one training sessions?

I do a lot of barking lately by @neutralk9

As of this point in time, I'm just looking for patterns and barking. There are always areas we can improve, this morning I just wanted Blue to bark without hesitation. So don't mind my slop heeling work. He's a really nice moderate drive dog, who fancies his own happiness much like Garfield. He's got the predator in him somewhere, but maybe his fancy is napping and getting hand fed. 😂 by @neutralk9

Here is Murphy in for a four week behavioral modification program and I even threw in a little something extra for his bolting issue - proper e-collar training. He responds really well. We have openings for boarding and training!

As someone who gets bookings every single day, this weekend was quiet. This means one thing. I am scared. 😂

Please do not wait to make your booking. There's nothing worse than a pile up! I'm booking out in to April with random spots available for boarding and lessons in the holiday areas. Those spots could be yours. Don't wait!
