Nearly three years after Hamas tried to tear their lives apart on October 7, Eliya Cohen and Ziv Abud stood together beneath the chuppah and became husband and wife.

Eliya and Ziv had gone to the Nova Music Festival together when Hamas terrorists attacked. They fled to the roadside shelter that would become known as the “death bunker,” where terrorists repeatedly hurled grenades inside. Sixteen people were murdered. Ziv survived for hours beneath the bodies of those killed, while her nephew Amit Ben Avida and his girlfriend Karin Shwarcman were murdered. Eliya was dragged into Gaza and held hostage for 505 days.

For all those months, Eliya believed Ziv had been murdered. Ziv, not knowing whether Eliya was alive, fought publicly for his return. He learned that she had survived only after he was finally freed on February 22, 2025.

And today, they got the ending Hamas tried to steal from them.

At their wedding, Ziv delivered a message meant for the terrorists who separated them: “You tried to separate two souls, and you got a chuppah.” She added that she hoped Al Jazeera would broadcast their wedding.

There is something profoundly Jewish in this moment. After massacre, captivity, grief and 505 days stolen from their lives, Eliya and Ziv chose each other, chose joy and chose to build a future together. Hamas gave them every reason to surrender to darkness. Instead, there was music, family, a wedding and a chuppah.

After enduring captivity under Hamas, Keith and Aviva Siegel emerged not only as survivors, but as people determined to remain engaged with the world.

Long before October 7, the Siegels were involved in humanitarian work, including efforts connected to Gaza. That record of service did not end with their abduction. After surviving captivity, trauma, and profound personal loss, they chose to continue giving rather than withdraw.

This week, Keith and Aviva Siegel are volunteering at Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp with IsraAID, supporting displaced communities and humanitarian responders on the ground.

Their story is one of endurance and perseverance rooted in Jewish values. Having suffered immense harm, they did not abandon responsibility to others. They embody tikkun olam — the commitment to repair the world even after one’s own world has been violently shaken.

At a moment when outside voices work overtime to divide Jews and Palestinians, this interaction landed differently.

DJ Khaled, a Palestinian American and globally recognized artist, is met by Orthodox Jewish children beaming with excitement. He stops, smiles, greets them warmly, and signs their tzitzit, returning their joy without hesitation.

Despite the noise, these communities ultimately share the same essential goals: dignity, safety, unity, and love for the next generation. That truth is too often drowned out by radical extremists and social media propaganda.

We are stronger together.

IDF aerial footage documents the overnight precision strike that eliminated Hamas terrorist Izz al-Din al-Beik, commander of its Northern Gaza Brigade. Ground footage shows the burning apartment in the strike’s aftermath. The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed his elimination.

Al-Beik was directing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians while rebuilding the brigade’s fighting capabilities. He had succeeded Ahmed al-Ghandour after previously serving as the brigade’s military intelligence chief. The military identified him as an immediate threat.

Hamas publicly acknowledged his death and praised his leadership as supportive channels circulated memorial posters honoring their terrorist commander. The flames and destruction do not erase who was targeted: a senior Hamas leader actively rebuilding the forces under his command for further attacks.

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Hamas terrorist Izz al-Din al-Beik, commander of its Northern Gaza Brigade, in an overnight precision airstrike. Al-Beik was rebuilding the brigade’s fighting capabilities and directing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians. The military identified him as an immediate threat.

Known as “Abu Hamza” and “Ashmawi,” al-Beik previously headed the brigade’s military intelligence before succeeding Ahmed al-Ghandour. Hamas sources described his command of an early special unit that developed into its Nukhba forces. Arabic outlet Arabi21 also identifies him as having participated in intelligence and operational preparations for the October 7 massacre.

Hamas proudly praised al-Beik’s leadership as supportive channels circulated posters glorifying their “martyred mujahid commander.” Describing the apartment where he was eliminated as “residential” does not make its occupant a civilian. Hamas itself openly acknowledged the terrorist commander it had lost.

One by one, Israel will hunt down and eliminate each and every terrorist involved in Oct 7th.

The IDF and Shin Bet are preparing for a possible Hamas abduction attack along Gaza’s Yellow Line following intelligence warnings, according to Ynet. The Gaza Division and 99th Division have raised readiness, with senior commanders instructed to remain in their sectors.

A senior military official warned Hamas is seeking to “create another Gilad Shalit” to regain leverage after repeated losses. Military sources assess that Hamas sees elections in Israel and the United States as an opportunity, calculating that political pressure will constrain Israel’s retaliation. (ynetnews.com)

The 2011 Shalit deal freed 1,027 prisoners, including Yahya Sinwar, who went on to mastermind the October 7 massacre. (reuters.com) Preventing another hostage crisis requires dismantling Hamas’s remaining military capabilities. Governments demanding Israeli restraint must confront what leaving Hamas armed makes possible, rather than waiting for another abduction and then pressing Israel for concessions.

The BBC is reviewing its Gaza “journalist” coverage after a Telegraph investigation identified 53 people with ties to Hamas and other terrorist organizations, including October 7 participants and Hamas commanders.

The evidence includes terrorist memorials, military photographs and weapons-training footage. Abdullah Darwish, presented as an Al-Aqsa TV cameraman, was identified as an October 7 participant. Hamas commemorated Mustafa Bakir as a field commander. Ahmed Samir Muhammad Washah appeared training with a grenade launcher.

The Committee to Protect Journalists separately removed 22 names following its own review, prompted by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad obituaries identifying listed individuals as combatants.

Presenting terrorists as civilian journalists lends a major broadcaster’s credibility to Hamas’s propaganda, fueling accusations that Israel deliberately murders the press while concealing those individuals’ military roles.

An independent investigation must examine the BBC’s reporting before and after October 7, its editorial decisions, source verification and any undisclosed ties between its journalists or sources and terrorist organizations. It must establish what editors knew, when they knew it and why corrections were not made. An internal review is no substitute for public accountability.

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Hamas commander Muhammad Ghabain in a targeted airstrike, confirming his death on September 27. Ghabain was involved in holding nine Israeli hostages in Gaza: Liri Albag, Agam Berger, twins Gali and Ziv Berman, Eitan Mor, Matan Angrest, Omri Miran, Keith Siegel and Alon Ohel.

According to the joint announcement, Ghabain had recently been advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians while working to rebuild Hamas’s military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. An Arabic memorial circulated under the name Muhammad Khader Ghabain honors him as “the martyred commander” and depicts him in camouflage.

A ceasefire does not absolve Hamas commanders of responsibility for holding Israelis hostage, nor give them permission to prepare the next attack. One by one Israel will hunt down and eliminate each and every terrorist involved in Oct 7th.

Israel’s elite Gideonim Unit 33, working with the IDF and Shin Bet, eliminated Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the terrorist who kidnapped Noa Argamani on October 7. Israel Police released footage of the strike on September 27.

According to the joint security statement, Sakr supplied weapons to Hamas and continued advancing attacks against Israeli civilians and troops alongside Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists, violating the ceasefire.

His involvement in October 7 was followed by continued preparations for further attacks. Pursuing these perpetrators remains essential to preventing their next victims. One by one, Israel will hunt down and eliminate each and every terrorist involved in October 7.

A resident’s call about three suspicious vehicles heading toward RAF Fairford brought armed British police to Whelford shortly after midnight. Officers arrested five men on suspicion of explosives offences and later on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act. Army bomb disposal specialists examined the vehicles while police evacuated around 85 households.

The Guardian reports that material found in the vans was initially assessed as consistent with improvised explosive devices. RAF Fairford has supported U.S. bomber strikes against Iranian missile sites, and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned in July that bases used to strike Iran could be targeted.

Investigators are examining a possible Iranian connection, but have not established one. That distinction matters: Tehran explicitly threatened this base. If it equipped or directed the men arrested nearby, Britain is confronting an attempted attack on U.S. forces from its own soil, with responsibility reaching beyond the five suspects.

The IDF released footage today of a terrorist using a child to carry weapons into a civilian home in central Gaza. Israeli troops spotted the child and withheld fire. The military did not specify when the incident was filmed. It documented the same tactic in 2024: Hamas used children to deliver ammunition because it expected Israeli troops to avoid firing on them.

The second slide is Hamas’s own record. Its armed wing identified Suhaib Abu Labad, who died at 16, as a fighter and published footage of him armed in combat. This did not start with him. MEMRI has documented more than a decade of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad camps teaching children to handle weapons, navigate tunnels and stage attacks. A Hamas training plan recovered by Israel explicitly described preparing children to serve its armed campaign.

The praise for “martyrdom” is documented in family statements and broadcasts, before sons go to fight and after they die. Hamas celebrates Abu Labad as one of its fighters; Gaza’s Health Ministry lists him as a child killed in the war without identifying his combat role. Both records describe the same boy. Leaving one out is what allows Hamas’s recruitment of children to disappear while the “baby killer” blood libel propaganda against Israel continues to spread.
