every time we finish a song for the record we shotgun a seltzer so here we are celebrating the first one, Outlive. someone said Outlive feels “awful. but in a good comforting way” which is also how it felt to make it (and to shotgun orange vanilla polar seltzer) how did it make u feel taken in HURT SO GOOD by @neverbetterbaby

hello amy here to tell you i also make songs as @neverbetterbaby and the first single is out on @handsinrecords and @takethistoheartrecords and i am proud of it! it’s about anticipatory grief and god and many things in between, daniel calls it “post-christian pop” and he’s not wrong. FT will always and forever be my first love, sometimes the songs just lead ya to a different, more blasphemous playground, you know?

thank y’all for everything, see you on the open road this summer ❤️❤️❤️

ahhhh the first ever never better baby single “outlive” is out today on @handsinrecords and @takethistoheartrecords! it is about anticipatory grief, trying to find a tether when things feel out of control, and how that spiral sometimes drags my evangelical roots out of retirement. god is a key change, life is a hymnal, death is the song i’ll hand the organist the next time i have to grieve.

thank you thank you thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this song, i hope it is as cathartic to hear as it was for us to make:
