Little edit from a family board game night. We bought Courtisans from @hachetteboardgamesuk stand at the UKGAMESEXPO this year.

We absolutely love it, for some reason my family love to play games where they can ‘stitch’ each other up and this game ticked that box.

Over the weekend I attended the @boardstupiduk Patreon Meet Up. I had a fab time hanging out and playing board games with such lovely people. Thanks to Wayne and Matt for organising🤝. Looking forward to the next one 🤗

On Wednesdays I host a Board Game afternoon. This week we played Big Boss, Coup then Toy Battle.

So far I have only played a Big Boss with two players, I must say that it was so much better with five players! I don’t think the game really plays very well with just two.

Toy Battle, this is the first time I have played this game and I absolutely love it. I get why it has received so much hype over the past few months.

July was a great month for board gaming! I had relatives from Australia over and taught my cousin some new games - Deep Regrets and Sea Salt and Paper were hits. Our gaming crew went on a camping trip and played lots of Sea Salt and Paper. We also tried the Ireland map from Rebirth by @mightyboards, which added depth and strategy. During a game night, we fancied playing some games that we hadn’t played in a while, we played Disney Villainous and Puerto Rico.

I'm loving the board game community and getting back into my gaming groove 😁

Just wrapped up an epic 3-night board game camping trip at Hurley Riverside Park with my son, brother, and best mate 🎲⛺️
We played Rebirth, Sea Salt & Paper, Courtisans, and Puerto Rico – so many great games and good laughs.
Mixed it up with riverside walks and even some canoeing 🛶🌿
The park was super welcoming and had everything we needed for a chilled and fun escape.
We’ll definitely be doing it again! 💚

Our absolute favourite from this list at the moment deffo has to be Deep Regrets from @tettixgames . We are all really enjoying playing this on game night. We have played 2, 3 and 5 player. During our 5 player game ‘The Plug’ appeared 😱 I didn’t even know this card existed until this point, it sucked all the fish out of the ocean! Let me put it this way…it was a huge learning curve! Luckily it was towards the end of the game 😮‍💨

Steam Power is a streamlined 1–5 player train‑network game with a playtime of around 45–90 minutes.

Each turn, players take two actions—place track tiles, build factories, fulfill contracts, draw contracts, or earn money. Building a factory allows anyone to access its resources—for a fee. Contracts and efficient network planning are key to victory.

I bought this game whilst at the @ukgamesexpo The best part is…I managed to get Martin Wallace to sign my box too 🤗

Day 2 @ukgamesexpo

I had such a great time the last few days. Deffo coming back next year. I spent the first day on a solo adventure checking out some stands and playing a few demos.

Today I came back with my bro and bought the games that interested us.

Oh…and I won a raffle prize thanks to @boardstupiduk thanks guys 🤗

Can’t wait to get stuck into playing all the games

Board games so far this May:
-Final Girl / Carnage at the carnival)
-The quest for El Dorado
-Catan

A mix of single player and 3 player games. I usually play with my bruv and a good friend of mine. They’re always up for a game or two.
I’ve also been playing Harmonies and Ark Nova online recently on BGA.

Ark Nova is a tough game to crack, time and patience are deffo needed to learn this one!

I’m quite enjoying Harmonies at the moment. To be honest, I’m not always up for a lengthy game and Harmonies ticks the box for a quick game.
