Status does not automatically validate someone as a person of level morals; just because someone is viewed in a superior position does not mean they are a good person.

People often confuse being famous with being “good”, or decide subconsciously somewhere along the line of observation. The same goes with current and former operators; don’t automatically validate someone as a good person or reliable resource just because of their history/status...people change.

Look at peoples interactions with others, whether It be social media or in the flesh...that’s how you can spot a good person, the way they treat the environment they are in.

Who you’ve been and who you are are two very different things. It’s never too late to start better habits and it’s never too late to cease lesser ones. You have to earn your reputation everyday.

I don’t post a lot of the interactions we have with dogs in Bali, most of the ones I show on my stories are shared after I’ve developed a relationship with them. They get abused and neglected a lot here in Bali so It takes awhile for them to trust someone. Earning their trust to where they will eat and drink out of my hands is one of the most fulfilling things for me, I’ve got friends all over the island now!

What a great tournament with a great group of dudes—although we got knocked out in the quarter finals, we all learned valuable lessons for future victories.
The beauty about paintball is that no one is invincible…if they have a gun, they can win. It takes losses to recognize which moves do not lead to success but even being perfect doesn’t mean you’ll win.
The sport blends athleticism, intelligence, discipline, strategy and teamwork in a way that is impossible to replicate anywhere else—this gives you a wide array of experiences that can enrich your life.

From being someone who used to make fun of vegans to being one for 2 years, I’ve seen both sides of the coin. Environment and lifestyle are the biggest deciding factors for a diet, obviously in tropical places you have abundant access to fruits and vegetables while more harsh climates are restrictive.
For me, I really enjoyed the simplicity of eating only fruits and vegetables and felt incredibly light but not so grounded. I think it’s good for the body to be in an alkaline state for as long as you can manage.
I was still working out but no gains were made, mostly It was a slow dwindle of muscle mass…my lifestyle was also a bit different those years. I cleaned a bunch of junk out of my life physically, mentally, spiritually and metaphorically.
I’ve been in a state of rebuilding who I am since I left the military which was a bigger task than I could have imagined—the NFQ debacle was another hurdle that has taken years to bounce back from and still has an effect.
This stage in my life and the geopolitical climate makes me feel like I need to be more sturdy.
I’ve taken my training more seriously and have used my Hyperbuilding programs for the last 2 years. The stimulus from this training style is second to none in my opinion, it’s kept me strong to be more injury resistant and mobile enough to compete and win high level paintball events in Malaysia and Russia.
In my opinion, the ideal physique is the capable physique—strong, aesthetically pleasing and tapered density.
In today’s world, you want to have go-muscle, not just show-muscle.

May 18 marks a sacred milestone for Anagit and me as we enter into matrimony. There are moments in life when you’re so fully immersed in the present, you don’t realize how fleeting It all is. I believe that’s part of why so many of us feel deeply lost after leaving the military, we look back on that time as our “golden years.” For me, It felt like jumping off a train going 100 miles per hour into a barren, unfamiliar landscape.
After dusting yourself off, you may have a vague sense of direction, but nothing feels certain. Your friends are still on that train still immersed in that same rhythm. For them, little changes. Life rolls on. Meanwhile, you start navigating a new terrain, slowly building something that resembles normalcy but it’s nothing like the world you once knew.
It takes time, but eventually you shift from survival mode into something deeper: thriving. Life becomes meaningful again. You find yourself present in the good moments, no longer haunted by what was, but grounded in what is.
Life is cyclical. You won’t always win. You won’t always be chosen. You will face defeat. You will meet despair. We all win some. We all lose some. The key is to take It all in stride.
Winners never quit.

I think traveling to shoot people is my highest calling, especially getting to do It with my brother @peakingindo.
We got invited to play alongside the squad for @canyonassassins and scrapped our way through to a second place finish—we had little time to build cohesion against teams who have been playing together as well as recently moving up a division, I’m very proud of the team and look forward to seeing them dominate the rest of the season.
Losses turn to lessons and this event was crucial for us all to see where we can improve to get the gold for the next tournament.
Special shout out to the OGs from @wiseguysmalaysia for keeping the machine greased and grooved while we focused on the mission, couldn’t have done It without you all.
Major shoutout to @davidguch for running the best league in Asia, @malaysianxballleague is second to none.
It was good to see the Russian homies who made a huge effort to come out and give everyone a run for their money, no better way to sharpen the sword than facing strong opponents @yazvezda_paintball.
Already frothing for the next trip.
Shoot. Kill. Win.
(Shoutout @auustinbufton for the new team chant, the original one was “ass-ass-ins” and I couldn’t let that fly 😂)
