Damien is heading to Lorne tomorrow for the VPELA State Planning Conference 2026, joining the panel for:
Building Smarter: Modern Methods of Construction and the Circular Economy Shaping the Future of Development

It’s a conversation that’s right in our wheelhouse — how we can build smarter, reduce construction waste, rethink the way materials are used and move circular economy principles into everyday construction practice.

Damien will be sharing his perspective from the construction side alongside Dr Matt Dingle from Formflow and Luis Sorrentino from NH Architecture, facilitated by Damian Iles from Hansen Partnership.

📍 VPELA State Planning Conference, Lorne
🗓 Thursday 27 August
⏰ 3:30pm–5:00pm
Looking forward to a great discussion.

Steel arched window surrounds integrated into joinery make up some of the intricacies of Camberwell House. Executed oh so well by Mood and Neverstop Group.

Powder coated pink spiral staircase with perforated steel treads, solid steel handrail and painted brick surround. Not your average staircase and we are here for it. 🩷

When a warehouse becomes a home. This Black Street Brunswick rooftop deck is the perfect example of honouring a building’s industrial bones while creating something entirely liveable. Exposed brick, original steel beams, warehouse windows, paired with a rich hardwood deck and an open sky above. This is what adaptive reuse looks like when it’s done right. #WarehouseConversion #AdaptiveReuse #HeritageRenovation #RooftopDeck #OutdoorLiving by @neverstopgroup

The space where every element earns its place. From the polished concrete underfoot to the custom timber table and built-in leather bench seating, each finish considered, each detail deliberate. This is how we build spaces people actually want to live in. by @neverstopgroup

Where timber meets steel. The craftsmanship in the details is what sets a build apart. Perforated balustrades, warm timber treads, clean lines — this is what we love doing. 🏗️

Oaklands Court where you slide the window open and the whole room shifts. The garden’s part of the kitchen, and the conversation doesn’t miss a beat.

Presto doesn’t ignore the original house. It responds to it. Strong red tones drawn from the brick, softened with pastel blue, give the space energy without overpowering it. by @neverstopgroup

Preston House, up close.
Salmon joinery, dolomite with a bit of movement through it and handles that aren’t your standard straight bar.
