I swam with the sharks. Learned from the legends. Now I share their secrets so the next generation can build empires of their own.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
This photo was taken at an event I put together with Molly Bloom for a YPO Presidents retreat in Los Angeles.

Like most people, I knew the Hollywood version of her story. The underground poker games. The celebrities. The business tycoons. The FBI investigation. What I wasn’t expecting was the incredible person, we know as Molly. She’s incredibly sharp, driven, and one of those people who would have been successful no matter what business she chose. After spending time with her, I realized poker wasn’t the story. It was just the backdrop.

What stuck with me was what happened when everything fell apart.

Her business was gone. She was facing criminal charges, enormous legal bills, public scrutiny, and the possibility of prison. At that point, the most valuable thing she had wasn’t money. It was information. She knew things the FBI wanted to know. Prosecutors wanted to know. Reporters wanted to know. She had spent years around some of the most powerful and recognizable people in the world, and everyone wanted access to what she knew.

Giving up those names could have made her life a lot easier. Reduced sentence, more bargaining chips for a plea bargain, bigger headlines, sold more books, and generated years of attention. Most people would have found a way to justify taking that deal.

She didn’t.

Later that evening, Molly ran a poker tournament for our group, and I kept thinking about how easy it is to have principles when life is going your way. The real test is what happens when you’re under pressure, when the stakes are real, and when one decision could completely change your future.

The poker games made Molly Bloom famous. But the decision not to sell out the people in the room is what made her unforgettable.

The biggest lesson I learned from Molly Bloom is It’s easy to do the right thing when it costs nothing. The real test is doing it when it might cost you everything. by @nevertamedofficial

Everyone knows Peyton Manning as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

But the biggest lesson he shared had very little to do with football.

It was about why some people keep winning long after the scoreboard disappears. Listening to him, one thing became crystal clear.

Elite performers see patterns before everyone else. They notice tiny details others ignore. They connect dots that seem unrelated. They anticipate what’s coming before it happens. But insight alone isn’t the advantage.

The advantage is what comes next. They prepare relentlessly until those observations become instinct.

That’s what makes excellence repeatable.
What impressed me most is that Peyton didn’t leave this mindset behind when he retired from football. He simply applied the same operating system to a different arena.

Today he’s building successful businesses, producing award winning shows, investing, leading teams, and continuing to perform at an elite level.

The game changed. His approach never did.
Too many people chase trophies, titles, or recognition. The best chase growth.

Because when you become obsessed with learning, adapting, and raising your own standard, winning becomes less of an outcome and more of a habit.

That’s the real GOAT mindset. taken in Centennial Airport by @nevertamedofficial

I spent years as a concert promoter. I promoted over 400 shows, mostly in the hip hop world. You live and die by the night. Every comp, every unexpected expense comes out of your pocket.

When I booked Snoop to headline an NBA All Star Weekend party in Scottsdale, I didn’t know what I was getting into. Booking Snoop, his entourage, putting everyone up is expensive before the doors even open.

Then the comps started rolling in.

Where Snoop goes, culture goes.

Magic Johnson. Larry Bird. LeBron James. Floyd Mayweather. Chamillionaire. Jason Giambi. Derek Fisher. Four hundred comps. Almost everyone was a celebrity. I was trying to build a reputation and make this the place to be. And it was, but at our expense.

Costs got out of control. Two days before the show his manager calls. Snoop wants a second party bus. Another thing on top of everything else. But when Snoops manager calls, you don’t negotiate. You figure it out.

Then Snoop and his crew pulled up. Two stretch limo party buses.

First bus opens. His entire entourage spills out. Loud. Chaotic. Pure energy.

Second bus opens.

Just Snoop. Alone. Silent.

Getting him to do anything was like pulling teeth. Reclusive. Quiet. Locked in with his small circle and unbothered by everything around him. Every person in that room wanted a moment with him and he just wasn’t feeling it.

I’m standing there thinking where is Snoop Dogg? Because this is Calvin and I need Snoop.

The world knows Snoop Dogg. That night I met Calvin. And they were very different. Quite the opposite actually.

The second bus wasn’t ego. It was armor. In a life where everyone wants something from you, that bus was the one place nobody could touch him.

Most people spend their whole lives trying to make a name for themselves. Here was a man who already did it and all he wanted was to exist on his own terms.

He doesn’t chase relevance. Relevance follows him.

The biggest lesson I learned from Snoop is the highest form of success isn’t having access to everyone. It’s having the freedom to choose who gets access to you. Protect your peace ✌️ by @nevertamedofficial

Wayne & Garth escaped the basement and took West Hollywood by storm.

@victoriajustice’s Love Zombie party was a darn good reason to rise from the dead. We’re not worthy!

Big love to @alilasky @theinfluence and for a hell of a night. 🖤

And yes, we brought @deathbeforedecaf_co everywhere. Totally subtle product placement.

Most people are solving for today.

The real opportunity is looking 5 years out and asking: where is everything going next?

That’s where I’ve always tried to build. Sometimes you’re early. Sometimes you miss. But standing still is the fastest way to get left behind.

Keep looking around the corner. by @nevertamedofficial
