The Newark and NJSP motorcycles escorted the New York Jets onto the field for their game against the Miami Dolphins on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at Metlife.

Prior to game time our motors had a chance to stop by some of the fan tailgates going on and traded challenge coins and pictures on the bikes for cheeseburgers and sausage and peppers sandwiches, which seemed to make everybody happy.

Once inside the officers had a chance to watch the pre-game warmup, and get some pics with former Jets wide receivers Laveranues Coles (now a deputy in Florida) and Quincy Enunwa, who still works for the Jets. It was also great to see @nyjetspup roaming the sidelines!

Work time went perfectly, 8 motors leading the Jets onto the field, thank you @nyjets for a great day!

Special thanks to everybody that contributed pics/vids for this reel, its greatly appreciated!!

As Officer Yas and his wife are expecting their first child any minute now, the Traffic Unit put together a shower to help stock the pantry with the essentials.

We are all looking forward to Lil Miss's arrival, and wish the family all the BEST ♥️♥️

Career Day at Ann Street School with police and fire, the SWAT truck, a fire engine, the motorcycles and the horses, not a bad way to spend a school day.

The Mounted and Motorcycle Squads of the Newark Traffic Unit traveled to Philadelphia for the funeral services of Sergeant Shane Seiber, a 10 veteran of the department, who was shot and killed on October 10th after arriving at a disturbance call. His partner was also critically wounded in the shooting.

The Seiber Family, and the members of the Philadelphia Police Department do not grieve alone.

Did you hear us?! Our SVA pride was hard to miss at our annual Spirit Walk!

From proudly walking the streets of Newark to sharing smiles and hugs with fellow alumnae along the way, our Vincentian spirit was on full display!

A huge thank-you to Newark’s Traffic Unit for helping provide a clear, safe path for our SVA community.

Loud, proud and forever Vincentian 💙💛🐾 by @newarktrafficunit

The Newark Traffic Unit offers our condolences to all who loved retired Deputy Chief Bruce Underwald of the Essex County Sheriff's Department.

Chief Underwald, who served 45 years with Essex County, was part of the motorcycle unit that escorted emergency vehicles in and out of New York during the immediate aftermath of the September 11th attacks.

Earlier this year FOP Lodge 46 honored the Chief, their Recording Secretary, with their Lifetime Achievement award, recognizing his 30 years of service to the FOP and the community he lived and worked in.
