It's been a little over 4 years since I moved to Tokyo. Told myself I'd live here for at least 2 to 4 years to make the move worth it.

Well I'm still here, so seems like I'll be staying for a bit longer.

Decided to walk down memory lane and post highlights from my first year in Japan, 2022.

1. Landing in Haneda
2. Covid still a worry, masked up Hello Kitty
3. Hotel with all the bags I brought with me
4. Share house I moved into
5. All the boxes I sent from Seattle
6. Peak male living space
7. First Tatakai Tuesday where I met so many friends and got the John Nakano name
8. First Comiket!
9. First Tokyo Game Show!
10. The start of my annual Friendsgiving ft. table made out of the boxes from pic 5

Looking forward to the rest of 2026 and my 30th birthday coming up soon!

Very very late, but thanks so much to everyone that made my last year in Seattle such a blast.

It's crazy how much I was able to do before moving to Tokyo.

Super glad I'm still in touch with so many of y'all even half away across the world. Can't wait to see everyone again! by @newbhope

Was able to travel around the US a lot before I left for Japan. Happened to visit two of the cities that I went to during a huge family trip back in 2006, and I wanted to recreate some of the pictures of my mom.

A lot has changed these past 6 years, but I'll keep doing small stuff like this to remember her.

I also made bo kho this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GPKpCpOTTQ
The stream was pretty scuffed though 😅

Finally got to see mount rainier up close after living here for 4 years. The view from my apartment rooftop is nice, but it's hard to beat the trails at Paradise taken in Paradise, Washington by @newbhope
