We’ve officially broken ground on our $40 million Innovation Center for Building Sciences!

Today, members of the NEIT community joined industry leaders, elected officials, and community partners to mark a major milestone for New England Tech and our continued investment in skilled trades education.

Coming to our East Greenwich, RI campus, the new 45,000 square foot facility will expand hands-on learning opportunities across our skilled trades programs, doubling our capacity to train the next generation of skilled professionals.

For more than 80 years, NEIT has prepared students for careers that keep our communities running and our economy moving. The future of the skilled trades starts with investing in the next generation, and we’re proud to be part of building what comes next.

Happy National Physical Therapy Month to our NEIT Physical Therapy students, faculty, and alumni! 🩵🐯

To kick off the month, we’re recognizing Holly, a New England Tech PTA graduate who recently returned to NEIT to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through our PTA-to-DPT Bridge program.

After several years working as a physical therapist assistant, Holly was ready to take the next step. The PTA-to-DPT Bridge gave her a direct path to build on the education and clinical experience she already had, while continuing to learn in the hands-on environment that first drew her to NEIT.

“Being able to practice in lab and in supervised clinical environments helped me learn the skills better than just sitting in a lecture. It was another aspect of my education and overall journey that helped me build confidence in my skills.”

Growing up in his father’s mechanic shop, Melvin was always surrounded by cars, tools, and the process of solving problems. Years after graduating high school, he decided it was time to return to the classroom.

Through New England Tech’s Auto Body Training program, Melvin found a path back to the classroom. The hands-on program also allowed him to earn credits toward an associate degree at NEIT.

But he wasn’t finished. What started as workforce training became the beginning of something even more.
“I couldn’t stop with just a ‘certificate’ to my name. Now I wanted something bigger.”

See how Melvin built the skills and confidence to pursue a career in collision repair - 🔗 link in bio! by @newenglandtech
